Duel Wielding and link question.

By avesco, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So after reading the little about duel wielding a few friends and I think different things.

If you are duel wielding with 2 different melee weapons, that adds 1 diff dice or 2? because they are different weapons ?

And with duel wielding and link can you change targets when you want to use your 2nd hand or "link"? or just stay on one target even if he gets killed?

Thank you so much for your time!

I think it's one added difficulty die, since they're both using the Melee skill. If you had one using Melee and another using Ranged (light) or Brawl you'd increase the difficulty twice.

Unless you're a Gunslinger with their different target Talent thingy on two weapon combat you only ever get to engage one target. You select the target before you attack.

What they said;

Two Weapon Combat is harder when your using 2 different Skills, if the weapons your holding use the same skills then the difficulty is just increased by 1, if the weapons use 2 different skills (eg Rng Light & Melee, Melee & Brawl) then the difficulty is increased by 2.

Two Weapon Combat with Two 'Linked 1' weapons could potentially hit a target 4 times, but without any special talent all those hits must be on the same target (keep in mind a Minion Group is a single target).

Also Brawl can be used in TWC, so basically by increasing the difficulty by 1 an unarmed character can attempt to get an extra punch/kick on their target.

Last thing of note is that you only increase the difficulty of your attacks if your actually trying to attack with both weapons. If your just holding a Pistol in one hand while you hack away with a Lightsaber in the other then you don't need to increase the difficulty, but you obviously can't use advantage to hit with that Pistol.

That makes linked so much better, by making it not over powered, do you know what page it says it can only be on one target?

It's right in the description of the Linked quality.
