What did you fly

By Evil Doctor T, in X-Wing

Very close to my idea; I'm using Cool Hand and crew Hera on the HWK, and a Chopper Ghost complete with Flechette torpedoes for ample stress-induced action denial.

I played in a CAC event and flew PalpAces:

Vader - Predator, Engine, title, ATC

Soontir - PtL, AT, title, Targeting Computer

Omicron - Palpatine

I wanted to fly:

4 Tempest TIE Advanced - Cluster Missiles, title, AC, Chips

I suspected there would be a fair number of big, low agility ships including a number of Ghosts - and I was right. All those hits would have been murder on them, but I forgot a bunch of my upgrade cards and had to fly the first list. I did okay, but what could have been.....

On Saturday I flew:

The Inquisitor (25)
Juke (2)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)
Valen Rudor (22)
Push the Limit (3)
Cluster Missiles (4)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)
"Redline" (27)
Fire-Control System (2)
Extra Munitions (2)
Plasma Torpedoes (3)
Cluster Missiles (4)
Guidance Chips (0)
Total: 100
Redline is brutal, and does insane amounts of damage. The list killed a Ghost in two turns of shooting before it got to fire its second shot. I'm a big fan of both the TAP after this game (my first time flying them) and the Punisher. Redline is rapidly becoming one of my favourite Imperial pilots.
On Sunday I played my first ever game on Vassal with the list below - although it took us quite a while to get set up. The Kihraxzs died quickly, but Dengar proved to be his usual excellent self, having an extended duel with Rear Admiral Chiraneau and finally winning me the game although only with 3 hull remaining...
Dengar (33)
Push the Limit (3)
K4 Security Droid (3)
Unhinged Astromech (1)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Punishing One (12)
Cartel Marauder (20)
Glitterstim (2)
Cartel Marauder (20)
Glitterstim (2)
Total: 100

I flew

Redline - Cluster Missles, Plasma Torps, Extra Munitions, Ion Bombs and Fire Control System

Turr Phennur - Vetran Instincts, Autothrusters

Soontir Fel - Push the Limit, Autothrusters

I was so out of practice flying Soontir that he pretty much bumped every other round :(
Redline was awesome and obliterated some things with the FCS Cluster Combo!
Turr got killed by a Black Squadron at range 1 because the Emperor......

Overall it was a good weekend!

Jan's support making range 1 primary attacks into 6 dice can be very punishing, especially with focus added, or other modifiers. Kanan crew then pulls the stress off Jan so she can keep flying support. For some reason, I like trying to work the HWK into lists, and I'm toying around with a Ghost-Phantom-HWK list lately, trying to refine it. It's been fun so far.

Yeah, I get it, but I was trying to fly the Ghost with just crew that came with it. For flavor reasons. It was fun.

A bumping Soontir is usually a dead Soontir.... :(

We had a Hangar Bay tournament, and the two lists I brought were:

Das Talonboot: 2x Proton/Agro U-boats (one with Boba Fett) and Talonbane Cobra w/ Predator.

The Green Barons: 2x Baron of the Empire PtL/v1/AT/Tracers and 2x Gamma Squadron Pilots EM/Concussion/Chimps

Round one the U-Boats lost a nail-biter against a Scum list built around a Gonking Boba, Dace Bonearm, and a TLT Thug. It went to time, and if it weren't for Gonk I'd have gotten half-points on Boba, and I think eked out a Modified Win.

Round two I picked Das Talonboot again and faced off against an Autoblaster/Accuracy Corrector Hera (w/ Zeb in the Phantom) and Actually Psychotic Tycho (PtL/Rage). Talonbane flew into the rocks to engage Tycho and wound up chasing him off the map, while Hera tried to keep her distance from the U-Boats instead of closing, and got burned down by Protons pretty quickly. Boba Fett flew over and yanked off the Autoblaster Turret, which was nice.

Round three I picked the Green Barons, because my opponent had a three-U-Boat list and I wanted to shoot all my ordnance before he got to shoot all his. This game was hilarious to watch, as the ChumpMasters flew down the middle of the board while my TIEs flew along the left behind some rocks. Then just as I expected the Chumps to turn and face me, they turned away and redeployed along what had been their controller's left edge. For two ordnance alpha strike lists, we didn't fire a lot of ordnance. I used both my Thread Tracers, but only one Concussion Missile, and he used both his Plasma Torpedoes, but no Protons. This was another narrow loss, and it could have gone the other way if the dice had fallen a little differently in the last round. My favorite part when when I had my two TAPS facing off against a ChumpMaster, and he kept his Focus token during the first TAP's Range 1 attack, because the second TAP was at Range 2 and he wanted to get his Proton off finally. The second TAP fired his Thread Tracer, took the free Evade from the v1 title, and Pushed the Limit to boost into Range 1.

Lots of scum and empire

Where are the rebels at? Apart from the guys playing ghosts their isn't much in the way of rebels right now
