Rebel pocket Aces?

By Karhedron, in X-Wing

Can anyone think of any good rebel ships that combine decent offensive and defensive abilities in a sub-30 point package? Who are the rebel equivalents of Omega Leader and the Inquisitor?

I have seen a couple of nice Assault Shuttle builds in this bracket but they look a bit squishy without the Ghost to keep them safe for a turn or two.

No procket jake is 28 pts.

So Basically... awings

There are some that consider the stress hog an "ace"

Imperials have the market cornered on these types of ships. They can field several Tie variants in the 20-25 point range that have nice abilities behind 3 green and reposition abilities. Its hard to pin them down.

Rebels and Scum can field some very good generics that can joust or throw turrets at you in that point range.

As others are saying, however, the closest thing Rebels have are A-Wings. If there are some sort of Aces/Veterans packs with a Z-95's or Sycks* that have pilots with abilities similar to some of the Ties for both Rebel and Scum, then they could possibly be pocket aces, maybe.

For example you have N'Dru with Lone Wolf, Glitter, Cluster Missile. He is not really an ace, more of a one trick pony, but when he hits, he pays back his points. We need a few more like that.

*Sycks also should have been a point cheaper or the title free, or maybe even both.

29 pts

Red Squadron vet + crackshot + BB-8 + Integrated astro is a neat package with a lot of utility

you meant pRocket aces?
Hellyeah!

Stresshog.

Not an ace per se, but occupies much the same niche as OL in terms of screwing with action economy and drawing fire.

Tarn Mison - R7, IA

Airen Cracken - VI, Homing, GChip

Not very commonly used, but both work well to fill 25 points.
