Competitive Double Ghost, with Tracer Missile???

I was trying to puzzle out tracer missiles, and stumbled on(again) Cracken. Then I was looking at ways to have lomg lasting ships with meaningful damage and well rounded characteristics in the meta. Knowing that PS3 is no mans land I couldn't talk myself down to Lothal PS 3 ghosts. Finally I added it up and I think I have found a uniquely rounded squad. Kanan with a free action really annoys an opponents damage expectations. Chopper is a PS 4 war machine, and his pilot ability seems to be relevant in a lot of scenarios. Cracken may be soft... But he is going to fire his tracers. Anyhow...

I really like it. It has game vs the meta too.

Why does Cracken have the Tracers? Are they there for a specific reason, or just to improve damage on the Ghosts? If it is the second, might it make more sense to spend those points on making Cracken more of an independent threat?

Just curious is all.

Cracken can potentially give out 2 target locks with the tracer. And a free action of course. Tracer missiles cost 1 point. Tracers versus UBoats, or Dengar give me the potential for a devastating opening round.
