Okay just throwing this out there not as a fix to anything but something just for theme and context. But the idea came up when talking about energy management in the movies and how Y-wing adjusted shields from double front to double rear.
Deflector Shielding (Modification) Cost 2 points 3 points (sorry I just saw reinforced deflectors was 3 points)
Both sides, Dual Card you must have shield value of 3 or more to equip this card.
Side A
- After you suffer 2 or more damage from an attack, if attacker is inside your firing arc recover 1 shield token (up to your shield value)
Side B
- After you suffer 3 or more damage from an attack if attacker is outside your firing arc recover 1 shield token (up to your shield value).
Now being a dual upgrade you have to chose at the deployment phase and cannot switch in the middle of a round. So you will have to choose do you want better jousting defense or do you want to protect where you are more vulnerable at. Now of course out of arc deflecting is weaker than inside arc because it is obvious that there is on average less area inside arc than outside of arc, also we still want to have out of arc attacks a rewarding experience. I think the Firespray and the YV-666 would love this. The ghost would probably have the biggest disadvantage because without a docked phantom the side A becomes a weakness for it.
Well what do you think?
