Tricked my wife into naming our 3rd son Lando!!!!

By Crabbok, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Just had our 3rd son Friday morning!

Wife was dead set against the name Lando. We didn't agree on pretty much any names. So after he's born we look at him and my wife suggests the name Conlin, which was my father's middle name. I say OK and figure now we need a middle name. I'm thinking that since we say "Conlin" kinda like Con-Lan, I need a middle name that starts with a DO. Turns out HER fathers middle name is Douglas!

Conlin Douglas

While technically his name contains Lindo rather than Lando, I say it pretty much the way you'd say Lando, so I'm counting this as a victory!

Congratulations on the birth of your son Crabbok!

Congratulations!

That is a stretch, but I will let you have it!

Way to go!!!

Bravo Sir!

welcome to no sleep and lots of joy

Good on you mate! Congrats. Hope all 5 of you are well!

We're currently at the week 5/6 growth spurts where we learn that 'sleep regression' is a real thing.

My mate named his wife's baby bump Lando. It seemed silly at first but it grew on us. We were all actually a little disappointed when A) the bub was a she, and B) the mum had said that she would have actually considered Lando for a little fella.

I'm in the process of trying for mareek.

So far it's "Erik with an m on the front"

But she hasn't seen it written down yet

Congrats, papa!

Please tell me they named her Leia! :)

Alas no. A mate of mine in Japan (American fella with a Japanese wife) named his daughter Leia though. It fits with the language and is gorgeous.

Congrates on the new son! ...and the name victory!

I remember I wanted to name my son Morgan. I knew a few male Morgans, but my wife always said it was a girl's name. They steal all the best ones!

I should've pushed for the family name, though. He would've been John Edgar Chadwick IV. My older brother was the III, but he hated it and refused to name his kids that. My younger was to be the one that did it, but his career wife isn't having kids anytime soon. So....we might miss out on that name. My wife didn't like it b/c her ex-husband is named John and it would be a little difficult.

I knew guy in school named Morgan. When he introduced himself he'd say "My name is Morgan. Big 'M', little organ." He never understood why people laughted at him...

Congrats dad

Congrats mate, you have the win, now maybe the time to paint the nursery walls with blue skies, clouds and a floating city!

I airbrushed my kids walls with the clouds from Toy Story, looked cool as.
