Killer Scum Squad to Take Down Those Pesky Rebels and Over-confident Imperials.

By jmiahddixon, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I have recently had a lot of luck with this squad. I played in a couple tournaments with it and have done pretty well.

Dengar

- Punishing One

- Unhinged Astromech

- K4 Security Droid

- Plasma Torps

- Extra Munitions

- Guidance Chips

54 points

When flying Dengar you must do your best to keep the enemy in your arc for your 2nd shot. He has pretty good damage output with the two plasma torps and using the punishing one title really amps up his second shot ability. (I have been trying to find a good way to put recon spec on him so he has two focus tokens for his tow attacks but have not found a viable option yet.)

Bossk

- HLC

- K4 Security Droid

45 points

*99 Points Total*

Bossk is really just here to output a ton of damage whether he's at range one or at range three, until he dies. Do green maneuvers to get the target locks, focus as an action and then shoot. He will have fairly high damage output if you role half decent and then if you are lucky with your target lock roles his ability to change a crit to two normal hits really helps against the high agility pesks so that you can get rid of stealth devices or just do damage in general.

This list has been a lot of fun for me to fly, it may not be the most powerful but you will definitely do some damage and take a couple ships out. The other thing I find good about this list is that it is very forgiving in many cases. Lots of secondary arc coverage to get shots off.

That is why I said if you are lucky with your target lock rolls, because those stay as crits.

Bossk - Calculation, Mangler Cannon, Greedo, Boba Fett, Gonk (44).

Mangler and Calculation turn eys and hits into crits, which then turn into more hits from Bossk's ability, the first card of which is flipped face-up anyway thanks to Greedo, which can then trigger Boba Fett if you need to. Gonk is there because the YV-666 has the highest shield rating of any Scum ship, and you need to protect yourself from Greedo's downside if at all possible - and the odd Focus token aside he's pretty action-independent for dealing damage. Gonk on your way into combat, then recover a shield as you're turning around.

Plus, with this he perfectly matches up with a great Super Dengar build.

Dengar (56)

Jumpmaster 5k (33), Push the Limit (3), K4 Security Droid (3), Unhinged Astromech (1), Punishing One (12), Engine Upgrade (4)
