Some updates from Marietta, GA, if people can help fill in the blanks.

Just some thoughts from the Atlanta results:

The top 4 all placed 9th or above.

The runner up and winner were 12th and 15th. Just one less player in the tournament and none of these players would have made the cut. Crazy!

Which is why everyone who has a chance to get in should be afforded that opportunity. Only one of our local 3 Store Championships featured a 1 or 2 seed in the final match - a 1 seed, once.

Wrong sir. We had 10-11 byes so we would of had to of had 5-6 less people.

Is there any filmed game of those amazing greens?

I'm pretty curious to see them flying!

Ah gotcha. All I heard was there was 77 people, sorry for the misinformation.

Still, point I was trying to make was that the bottom of the cut performed much better. Dunno what it means, but it was an interesting observation nonetheless.

Is there any detail on the Rochester Top 8 lists anywhere? I very badly need to see what's in that Dengar/Latts build :)

I was there - I didnt see any video setups anywhere, sorry! I can can confirm there was a rediculous amount of diversity of lists though. Probably the most common was Palpmobile setups. I pulled off 14th with 6x Z95s, but unfortunately the cut was top 8.

I have a twitter feed with source information on the standings but no lists for Rochester! I'm very interested though, Awings took the crown and I want to know what they were up against!

They played against triple jumps in the final. Two GREAT players. Thanks for pushing my Twitter as well!

I played against that Dengar list, he had Punishing one, PTL, Unhinged, and I believe engine upgrade along with something else. Lats I think had Bossk Gunner? It was my first game and all I remember is rolling a grand total of 4 evades all game (I counted). Still got the yv-666 and dengar down to 2 hull so it was a pretty close game.

I was playing Drea and two jumps went 4-2. My list was kitted out to kill Palp aces.... Only played against it once of course, but I used Boba on the emperor FTW!

The unknown from Atlanta regional is Joel Killingsworth.

I'm guessing K-4 Security Droid.

That was it, thanks.

Yeah I got you, just pointing out it was a lot further away that people thought. Even those of us at the tournament who were like **** this is the worst case scenario for IDs until we found out this and realize our technical player count was like 84.

Also I will say being one of the Top 16 players we had a really awesome group of people in the cut, but a lot of us got match up we dreaded. Can't speak for all the players, but for some of the Atlanta players

I got pair against Dave Crisostomo who I beat earlier in the day (it was on the stream actually) because I got him to engage me on my terms instead of his own. Which after you get a player to make a mistake like that, they're not going to do it again. Also I hate rematches after Swiss in the cut. I've seen this happen a lot where the player that lost in Swiss pretty much always wins in the elimination as they've learned from the mistakes.

Sam got paired against Zeno which Dash Corran is the bane of his existence, it knocked him out the first round after the cut at regionals last year after going undefeated through swiss.

Had I not taken an ID the list round pairings would of been different, but my dog was at home alone all day so I took an ID to go take him out. It was a risk on my part not knowing where the MOV standings where, but come to find out after the cut even if I lost I think we calculated all I had to get was half points on one of my last opponents Jumpmasters and I would of made the cut. So get your pitchforks people if you want but I pretty much had my spot in the cut already on lock.

I've experienced this before. It almost gives incentive to throw the swiss match against a player that you know is capable of making the cut, but that's hard to do.

I'm deducing from this that you are James Matchett, and you lost to Dave in the top 16 round?

Do you know who won the top 16 match between Michael Berriman and Justin Battenberg? Last piece of info we need!

Justin Battenberg won his round of 16 match and lost in top 8.

I have most of the results from Rochester, hopefully someone can fill in the last two lists, I'm not sure of the exact lists on those tables as their games ended before mine. Apologies if there are any errors, I'm doing this off the top of my head for the lists I didn't actually face.

Champ: Gerry Russell (7 th Swiss) – 5x A-wing + Test pilot + crackshot + adaptability + AT + Crackshot + Chardaan

Runner up: Johnathan Grasser (1 st Swiss) - 3x JM5k + Plasma Torp + EM + Deadeye + R4 + GC

Top 4:

Dany Laberge (3 rd Swiss) - 2x Lothal rebel + FCS; Biggs + R4-D6 + IA

Evan Cameron (4 th Swiss) – Dengar + PTL + Unhinged + K4 + Glitter + Punshing1 + EU; Latts Razzi + 4LOM+Gunner + Bossk

Top 8:

Kelvin Lau (2 nd Swiss) – Tycho + Rage + PTL + test pilot + Prockets + AT; Jake + VI + PTL + test pilot + Prockets + AT; 2x prototype + Chardaan
Nicholas Gardner (5 th Swiss) - Palob + adaptability + ion turret; Mandalorian Mercenary + deadeye + dengar + homing missiles + slave 1 + EM + GC, 4-LOM + adaptability + Zuckuss + Mist Hunter + tractor
Graham Schofield (6 th Swiss) – Whisper + ??, Sigma x2 + ??
Wade Kline (8 th Swiss) - Inquisitor + ??; OGP + Palp; Wampa; ??

Do you think running triple U-Boat with 3 Feedback Arrays instead of 3 Extra Munitions is a good idea? Should autowin against Palp aces, and 3 torps should be enough for the mirror matchup.

have much better luck going through palp aces with torps than feedbacks, but then again I run misthunter crew

mix of bumps and torps is obviously ideal; never put all your eggs in one basket and all

Hopefully we'll get some people who were there to fill in the blanks for the Rochester Regional.

I heard from Don that Garry Russel was running 5x Green Squadron pilots + crackshot + awing test pilot + adaptability + autothrusters + chaardan refit, would like a confirm on that though.

Better late than never... I arrived back yesterday to Houston only to get inundated by the April 18th monsoon. Nevertheless I will do up a proper batrep on Saturday's amazing event in Rochester.

As the Juggler will attest to, I have always been a Zed Swarm advocate and having lost at two Regional final tables with them I almost ended up going that way again on Saturday. However as random chance would dictate I had three lists prepared and written up, fate decided that I was going to run Chihuahua Storm.

5x GSP + AWTP + CR + Adaptability + Crack Shot + AT

Went 5-1 in swiss, faced (4) IMP Aces (3) of which with Poppa Palpy. (1) Super Derp/PoPo Platter and a standard Triple Toiletseat with Plasmas & Robert A. Fett esq. Only loss was a close match to one of the Palpy/Ace 60-43

In Top 8 vs Kelvin it was all A-wings all the time, he ran Raging Tycho w/Prockets, Super Jake w/Prockets and (2) Protius type A's

In Top 4 vs Dany faced double Lothal Rebs w/FCS accompanied by Biggy Fries Darklighter with R4 and IA.

In Final vs my pal The Grassman faced his Triple Toiletseat sans Fett.

A great day for the A-wing and the Rebellion!
