The guy playing ghost/Biggs in the cut just said a few minutes ago that he was in the 10 spot in Roanoke and said something to the effect of 'getting screwed out of the cut at Roanoke'. There were some who were wondering how those who got denied their opportunity to play in the cut felt, and there is one guys thought.

Josh was 11th at Roanoke, and he is on that list playing Ghost, but he could not have made the cut regardless of how the matches played out. Even if I beat Alex 100-0, Alex would still have beaten him on MOV.

I do like how the Ghost has evolved into a counter to Imperial Aces.

Rochester top 8 was 8 different lists

U boats -1 Swiss 2 Champ

Tycho, Jake, 2x Protype -2 Swiss Top 8

Biggs, Lothal Rebel w/FCS x2 -3 Swiss Top 4

Latts Razzie, Dengar -4 Swiss Top 4

Palob, Mandalorian Mercenary, 4-LOM -5 Swiss Top 8

Whisper, Sigma x2 -6 Swiss Top 8

5 Crack Green A's -7 Swiss 1 Championship

Inquisitor Palp mobile -8 Swiss Top 8

EDIT: added Swiss and final standings. Event was capped at 76.

So, I'm guessing that the answer to this is a no, but is tome ever going to have a list component added to it/ be compatible with list jugglar?

5 crack as won it Gerry Russel was flying them right.

I just recalled from memory, I don't have copied lists sorry.

Yes Gerry Russell beat Jonathan Grasser's undefeated U boats with 5 A-wings

I feel like the 5 A-wing Crack Swarms was the most unexpected and most awesome list to arise from the early Wave 8 meta.

Not likely. CardgameDB is compatible with what it is because it was when FFG bought it.

WOW, just watching the Giga-Bites regional on Twitch, pair on screen called the TO over and took an ID, then one of them drew a picture of a D**k and wrote draw on it and they both mocked the viewers. They now have a new pair onscreen playing

Was disrespectful not only to the viewers but to the event organisers as well

May be someone should enforce the inappropriate behavior section of the rules.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Players are expected to behave in a mature and considerate manner, and to

play within the rules and not abuse them. This prohibits intentionally stalling

a game for time, placing components with excessive force, abusing an infinite

combo, inappropriate behavior, treating an opponent with a lack of courtesy

or respect, etc. Collusion among players to manipulate scoring is expressly

forbidden.

The head judge, at his or her sole discretion, may remove players from the

tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct.

But, not something that should be an instant DQ.

Why not, If you expect to be treated with respect you have to treat others with respect, you have to learn sometime in life that there are consequences for actions. Its a lot better that they learn it in a game rather than in real life.

Awaits the rants when Goomba sees a Dash in the finals of the GA Regional.

If I was in the top, and I saw my opponent do that, I would take back the ID and make them play. Sorry, but regardless of humor, that's bad taste.

I have to say- the results from New York and Georgia have restored my faith in this game fully.

That is some gorgeous, gorgeous diversity.

Thanks for the insight Paul. I was just stating what I heard.

Other posters take essentially what is a lie and run with it, and then you end up with a dozen posts stating a completely unverified rumor as the truth of the matter. It distorts the reality of the situation and incenses people unnecessarily.

Not to be overly harsh towards you in particular (because you certainly aren't the worst offender), but people need to fact check stuff before stating it as fact.

As to the thoughts of those kept out of the cut, I've seen two published statements from players in that position, and neither of those two felt that they were actually screwed over by the other players. One going as far to tell those ranting on the subject to send him tequila if they felt so bad for him, or shut up about it (to paraphrase). I believe one podcast made good on that.

what was the final result in atlanta? I crashed out at midnight cst when the top 4 game between zeno and hsu was on. also when did it end? 3:30 am EST? :-)

Palpshuttle, Omega Leader, Wampa, Inquisitor won the tournament. But I thought it was kind of mean to leave Wampa out for the victory picture. Poor Wampa

what was it up against in the final?

Edit: Sozin I'm curious what you think of subbing in the Inquisitor compared to having Carnor as in your "Imperial a-holes" list.

The Lone Wolf Dash and Corran beat the crack swarm, the mini swarm, and the Chopper Dash (Mangler) to get into the final.

It was able to beat the swarms due to extremely good positioning of Dash constantly at range 3 and usually behind debris cover.

It beat Chopper Dash by having enough time for Corran to get half points on Mangler Dash.

The lack of post maneuver movement options for Dash really showed against the Inquistor, whose boost and barrel roll options allowed a relatively easy time staying in the blind spot. When Dash did have a shot at Inky, 3 dice supported by autothrusters, palpatine, and an evade token meant he wasn't going to get hit hard if at all.

Dash/VI Corran. Archived twitch feeds are still available on TableTopGeneral's twitch page.

Edit: Sozin I'm curious what you think of subbing in the Inquisitor compared to having Carnor as in your "Imperial a-holes" list.

1) aholes is a bit more meta relevant, specifically because carnor can combat deadeye/jumpmaster tricks

2) carnor tends to offer more anti-ace hate as well, as he messes up any focus/evade dependent aces (soontir, jake, etc)

3) inquisitor version is a bit is easier to fly than aholes. with carnor you have to do a lot of mental gymnastics how to optimally use his ability. with the inquis you just point and shoot (or point and boost and block).

I was really pleased overall with the diversity of the tournament. While I faced two Triple Jumpmaster builds (and one double jumpmaster build), they were very different from each other.

It is certainly shaping the meta, but there seems to be a lot of different answers for it that it is keeping the meta a little fluid.
