2016 Regionals Results

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

I've noticed TOs don't seem to be posting Regionals on listjuggler. Anyone else notice this? Anyone know why?

Sadly TOME doesn't output to ListJuggler and according to OP it is not planned anytime soon. I encourage you to email [email protected] if you'd like this to change. Something as simple as "Please add ListJuggler support to TOME!" should do the trick. Probably if a whole bunch of people throw in to help out it might change their mind!

I'm nagged them probably a half dozen times and hasn't helped me out yet :-(

Duncan Howard won the Martinsburg WV regionals with Palp Aces beating Steve Dodd's Zuckuss, U-Boats build. The entire stream was uploaded as a 12 hour video:

I wouldn't get my hopes up. The only reason cardgamedb.com still works with OCTGN, is because it did before they bought it.

There were 46 in attendance. Pre-registration was required, and I think there were 2 no shows. It's hard to say how much of an impact the Fort Mac fire had. I haven't really heard of many X-wing players from up there.

The reason the Fresno regionals stuff isn't up yet is cause I was up for a total of 43 hours and I had stuff to do today. I used cyrodex but had to use the stores laptop. Should still be on there but will have to check tomorrow. If not I will be doing everything by hand.

I've noticed TOs don't seem to be posting Regionals on listjuggler. Anyone else notice this? Anyone know why?

I'm also not emailing stores this year to remind them. Last year I emailed almost every single venue to remind them that we wanted results. Its too much work to do again this year.

49 Pre-Registered. 46 Showed.

5 1st Round Byes were Used.

There was some grumbling and some people were a bit off-put by the Pre-Register and the Pre-Listing in (so lists could be ready to be up for Streaming)... But the Fires and concerns certainly cut down some of the Edmonton Attendance according to some more facebook rumblings...

But was still awesome :D

In the last round of swiss, two matches were intentional draws. One of the players who drew did not make the cut.

One of the players who drew did not make the cut.

A quick disclaimer: I have nothing against players who offer or take draws. FFG OP put them in the rules, and I blame only them.

But seeing this still pleases me greatly. :)

Last year we were told we MUST use TOME (why I sent you TOME's output instead) but that's not the case this year.

I'm not trying to be demanding. I made an observation that this is the third or fourth week and only a few regionals in the US were posted so I was wondering why. As a TO I am understanding, just curious if there is something we can all help with.

I'm curious how many people have missed a cut because they declined the ID.

I know in Roseville there was at least one that declined and lost, so he missed the cut.

Two of us from roseville turned down the draw and lost out. Doing so let the highest 4-2 in and he had massive MOV 913, so he deserved the slot.

Hello everyone I'm Eric Hawkins and played in the Roseville, MN Regional, thought I should introduce myself as I have never posted here before lol.

My list was:

Howlrunner

Mauler Mithel

Scourge

3 x Black Squadron Pilot

6 x Crackshot

I'm also pretty sure that Jason Moon was on Triple U Boat. All with Plasma, R4 Aggromech, Deadeye, Extra Munitions, Guidance Chips and then one with 4 Lom.

I don't know the specifics of Clinton's list but I know it was Chopper and Dash.

Totally understand and I know the guy at 4-2 that made it and was glad for him. I just think it's a very interesting situation (and, imo, another strike against the rule as it adds a complication that isn't needed as well as a bonus for not playing it).

Nice to see the Rebels grab another Victory. Those are few and far between this year... only 4 so far I think.

Scouts seem to be dominating the non-NA regionals. We're they released much later in other continents than in NA?

BTW, if you want to watch some of us brain-fried dudes play X-Wing at the Fresno Regional, see the link below. Bonus incoherent commentary included. No idea how long it stays up on Twitch.

Not as far as I am aware, but at least the German meta is a lot slower and more easily swayed by flavour of the month lists. Nobody ran stress controll (except for me) until Paul won Worlds with a Stresshog. After that you couldn't see anything else for a long while. People also are pretty convinced that Brobots are the most broken thing ever, for some reason. I imagine if I went to a tournament right now it would be nothing but U-Boats, most of them in suboptimal configurations, with one or two Palpaces who would take the whole thing and push my Gamma Squadron Pilots out.

Jen is moving all the streams over to YouTube so they can be immortalized forever. People will know the power of captain planet.

Top 16 is now entered into listjuggler. I am missing 4 lists, if you know the lists please add them, thank you! Again I am sorry for losing the list in the first place. But now they are up and taken care of.

There is something right in this world when swarms made of up ships from the movies are taking down multiple Regional Championships.

Scouts seem to be dominating the non-NA regionals. We're they released much later in other continents than in NA?

That's not true, last Year the stresshog was everywhere in Germany before worlds. It won regionals... This year 4 Regionals are already played in Germany. Winners Brobots, 2x U Boats and Whisper Chiraneu
