Going 5-1 and not making the cut is dissapointing, but can't blame anyone but myself. I made critical mistakes in 2 of my matches that cost me full wins and turned them to modified wins. Looks like there will be a new Florida regional champ this year!
21 points for place 7, 8, 9 and 10. So 2 of these 4 players intentionally draw (in round 3??) and failed the cut?

most u-boats making top8 seem to have a dedicated blocker wout ordnance or one torp. may are going for 98pt lists to trump other u-boat lists. initiative in the mirror is a huge advantage.

Having too many U-boats in the Cuts is not just the fault of the guys fielding U-boats. It is rather the lack of counter lists. The advantage the other guys could get. The opponents should be at least one step ahead, but they obviously aren't

My gut feeling is that the meta countering players were a step ahead of themselves and actually prepared for Palp aces dominance with those pushing out the U-Boats.

I'm not a great player by any stretch, but I went to MK expecting Impaces, Only went against 1 in the last round, everything else was a Ghost+1 or a Torp launcher

i wish our Quebec Regional would be 109 ppl, but it looks like we may have less than last year , probably because of location.
The date doesn't help either...
I know a few of the Ottawa/Gatineau region are making the trip, but many commented that the day after Canada Day makes it a no go for them. Toronto being just after St-Jean Baptiste has a similar effect for a different slice of the group. In both instances, you can guess which is which.
For me, given my current skill level, it's just too far to go to fill the bottom rankings. Hopefully we have a local one (or at least in Montreal) in the fall, I want to experience a regional!

7 and 8 drew in round 5, they are friends and knew that it would eliminate one of them if they played it out. They both won round 6 and had enough MoV to squeeze in.
6 and 9 drew round 6, I do think 9th thought he had enough MoV to guarantee himself in.
10th place was myself. I went 5-1 (2 modified wins) and missed the cut due to MoV
It was interesting in Roseville because there were a good number of people at 4-1, enough that it all 4-1s drew some wouldn't make it. Win at 4-1 and you're in. Lose and you go to 4-2 and have to get in on MoV. A couple took the risk and drew while most played it out, so the ones that drew actually made the cut.

Been proxying a lot of Defender stuff. They will be the new hotness. Specifically I think people are underestimating Ryad. She is one of the most consistent on defense and offense with PTL, Mk. II, and x7.

Calgary had a bunch of interesting lists.
Most Common was Dash/Ghost, or Han/Ghost, if you believe that...
Calvin Wong, former Store Champ, went 2-0 after his bye with Triple Jumps, and no other triple Jumps went further than that...

No joke. Outside of the Crack 5 A-wings, Rebels have been really struggling, especially in certain metas it seems.
Right now, it seems like it's Palp Aces, Imp Aholes, Crack Swarm, Uboats, and sometimes IGs that are on the top line of the tier. How much of this is due to the fact that people are unwilling to enter a regional with something outside that box? I can't help but feel that these archetypes are fairly beatable, but my goodness, when a regional has top 4 all Uboats, you have to wonder. Uboats are having a much more drastic (and negative, imo) effect on the meta compared to TLT last wave.
