PGS, I don't know if you're a skilled troll, an iconoclast trying to break perceptions about how to play the game, or some kind of super-niche hobby-game performance artist, but I have to admit, I enjoy what it is that you're doing. I genuinely hope I get a chance to play you some time.

Maybe I'll sit down and figure out Vassal some time.

I don't Vassal either. I'm hoping to in a few weeks when work calms down a bit, but I don't now.

Is Brian Carpenter, the 6th seed at Wixom on these forums? Or can anyone get me in touch with him?

The same goes for a Canadian gentleman with dark hair and glasses who played Wes Jansen, Ezra, Bandit Squadron, and Biggs at Wixom. Thank you very much.

I would really like to know what that build was.

Same. I wonder if Ezra had Opportunist to benefit from Janson's ability? That would be pretty clever.

I'll see if I can dig up the list from the store in the AM, get it posted up.

I'm hearing Decimators did well at Michigan.

Phildo knocked me out with Whisper RAC. RAC had Palpatine, Rebel Captive, Engine Upgrade, and (+1) Adaptability, and Whisper had VI, ACD, FCS. There were two exact copies of this list in the top 4 that faced each other haha.

Last round came down Phildo's list against a Manaroo Dengar list. Demgar had a bunch of crazy stuff on him like Zuckuss and Countermeasures and Glitterstim and the title and R5-P8. Manaroo had PtL and would just give all of her actions to Dengar so he was free to stack up a million stress tokens with Zuckuss.

Also, placed 9th after 6 Swiss rounds having only played 3 actual games haha. First round used my bye card, rounds 2-4 I won, rounds 5 and 6 I intentionally drew.

You would ID your last two rounds. Also pretty sure you cooked your dice at some point. Noone rolls that well consistently. Just glad you got your butt handed to you because you deserved it.
What list did you fly?

Also, with FCS and Mindlink Brobots I always have dice mods going. Even outside of that, I do roll like a god a lot, feels great.

Nevermind, I think I figured out who you are. I like to WAAC but at least I don't wait until a game is half over to call a judge over because my opponent is proxying cards and using a printout.

Yeah, what kind of scumbag would wait for an opportune time to enforce the rules? Oh wait, I know of one!

Check your moral superiority at the door.

As long as I drag down droz69 with me. I'd also argue that there is a difference between winning within the game and winning because you have more money than your opponent.

If you don't count the bye card I used, me and droz69 had the same number of wins in Swiss. These regionals dice are so cool, feels great to have earned them.

Silly me, I thought the cost of cards would be part of winning at ALL costs. So really more of a "win at any cost except for monetary costs, in which case I'd rather cheat and try to make my opponent look bad for pointing it out." WAACEMCIWCIRCATTMMOLBFPIO.

Technically you could (and should) be DQed for using a printed copy. So "earned" might be a strong word.

How did someone get through the whole tournament using printed off Upgrades and Pilots? I thought that was fine in a casual game, but was strictly not allowed in a tournament setting.

Greetings!

Maybe this is not the right place to ask...but anyone can clarify if the mov you take when you use your Store Championship Bye Card in a Regional Championship is 150 or 200? Thanks in advance..

Nothing technical about it.

I'm so excited to have been a part of the second most controversial tournament this year.

For the top post - Wixom had 90 players, 17 byes used

I am actually curious why he wasn't DQed after the judge was called over? I can understand for some random store tournament but a regional should be enforcing the rules.

Ya isn't this a clear rules violation to not have a physical copy of the card at this level event? I'm a bit unclear on the details of what exactly is being discussed here, but I was under the impression not having the appropriate, physical card from an FFG product was an automatic disqualification, especially if it wasn't a first round blunder. Heck, if they could find someone to spot them the card for the duration of the tourney, it's a non-issue. But if the player insists they can use a print out, I'm pretty sure that should be a DQ.

What is being discussed was that at a Mi SC, some guy was using a squad print off for his list, cleared it wih his R1 opponent, and then moments before he won, the opponent called over a TO, forcing a forfeit. The guy had the cards, just not out. It was a real @&$^ move..

Whoa. How is that DQ worthy anyway?

Honestly i would have DQed both, one for not having his cards out and the other for unsportsmanlike conduct

Ok, that is dumb. I was under the impression that the player didn't have the card at all. As long as he cleared it with each of his opponents, pretty much a non-issue.

Thats not how I read what happened. The way I read the comments is that the player was using a printed out proxy at a regional and the player called him on it halfway through there game which was in the middle of the tournament. Now if he asked his opponent if it was ok beforehand and then the opponent changed his mind when he started to lose then I agree with the person who said dq them both. If he didnt clear it with his opponent before hand and his opponent only noticed halfway through when he went to read the card only the player with the proxy should have been dqed.
