Rycho, Wes and Poe? Or Jan?

Been running a couple lists in my head that focus on decent mobility and high PS.

First:

The idea being, making sure you can take out opponents before they take out you. Having Wes strip an opponent of tokens right before Tycho rages, boosts close, then fires off a 6-dice, 3 rerollable, focus still in hand, rocket in their face sounds good on paper. Any thoughts?

Sorry, it was just a joke. Not fair to you, but I was feeling a little trollish because of the ongoing thread about the proper way to title a thread in order to get the cognoscenti to dispense wisdom to noobs.

As to your lists. I think I prefer the first one because Poe will stick around and be consistent, whereas your second list has too much invested in getting off one shot from Tycho and HWKs go down pretty fast these days.

That was my thought too. Poe will deliver steady output, and one bad roll with an Awing leaves it dust.

On the flip side, Jan does consistent damage with tlt, saving her focus token for defense. She becomes bait pretty early on, which could just let Wes and Rycho maneuver into position.

At first glance I was going to let you know that your squads were 102 points...it's just that you have Tycho listed as 28 instead of 26. I like the 1st list as I like A-wings and you can't go wrong with regen Poe

High PS pilots costs more points

High PS makes it hard to block

High PS across your squadron is not always the right way to go. Just something to think about...

I'm curious to see how Raging Tycho unfolds. I have always run daredevil and ptl, but vi and rage looks tasty. I like double regen but Jan and prockets makes me giddy. I think this would be a strong list against palp aces.

But how well would either list do against the othe meta boogeyman of triple U-boats? With only a little bit of repositioning to avoid arcs and the crap green dice of X-Wings, you might be in a "one mistake and it's over" situation.

Yeah, the wolf pack has me nervous about it. Thankfully, Wes can take off one token, so only 2 ships fire first turn. Then Rycho and Poe can hopefully widdle it down over the rest of turn 1 and turn 2, letting Wes take off anothwe focus during that phase, letting only 1 torpedo fire.

So 2 torps one round, 1 torp the second. Again, this is ideally, haha

r2d2 on non-Poes/corrans just doesn't do enough for 4 points. You're still going to die unceremoniously with or without it

recommend bb8 instead, to orientate his firing arc without using his action

tycho's too spindly to do any real damage, despite all his rage (He's still just a rat in the cage)

37 point poe and 32 point Wes leave 31 points, which is VI Luke with something (r7?) and integrated
