SLAM AND BOOM!!!!!!

By Kyl0REN, in X-Wing Squad Lists

This is sort of based on the World's runner up list from last year. First difference is the K wing. The turret, C-3P0, built-in healing, and extra hull and shields give the K wing better all around survivability. The K wing can also hit outside of arc too, but it doesn't have to arc dodge.

Poe with RD-D2 is better than R5-P9 because you are still able to spend your focus token AND recover your shield.

And a Green squadron A-wing with Predator and Autothrusters is much better than just a bare prototype A-wing because a Green Squadron A-wing could deal more damage and hit more accurately.

Poe doesn't want to spend his focus token and has a very limited green options dial. So R5-P9 is a fair trade in that regard, maybe even better than R2 because you can "use" that focus on offense, defense and regeneration because you're Poe.

Predator is a waste on an A-Wing because you can target lock as an action. So for the same 3 points you can have PTL to Target Lock (a free predator) and do any other fantastic action option if you choose to take the stress. If you run R5-P9 for Poe then you can also fit on the Test Pilot title and run one of my favorite green combos, PTL and Wired. Yes you limit yourself to 50% of your A-Wing dial with PTL but really there are enough green options to keep you flying right. The rerolls you get from Wired really increase your defensive resilience and help a touch on offence.

I also don't know that Advanced Slam offers you a lot on your Miranda. I'd almost be tempted to throw an Ion bomb on her for that same 2 points just in case a pesky ace gets right up in your 6.

Not that your list is bad, it's not. Just food for thought.
