MDH-19 and Medical

By Sam Tomahawk, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Ok, so its listed on the hero card that MDH-19 can't use medical cards.

The "Portable Medkit" tier 1 item is marked as accessory, but *not medical.

Is this an oversight? Is this intentional?

So, it's not a medical card and can be used on him. His class cards are not medical cards either.

Certainly when you buy equipment you buy things that affect your heroes, and him being a droid having special needs is known. I don't see an issue - ruleswise or thematics.

Lets rephrase your initial statement Sam to clarify and not confuse people. MHD-19 is not "affected by medical cards", not that he cant use them. So some of the item cards he cant "use" on himself, but he can "use" them on others. And then yes, if its not listed AS Medical, then he can "use" it on himself.

Maybe one kit has ducttape, the other doesn't. Also to clarify what another said, in the campaign, MHD is NOT a droid. It doesn't say so on his sheet, R2 can't repair him, in the campaign. I've already clarified with FFG. Don't shoot the messenger.

Yes, I meant the thematic droid, not the trait Droid . (but was in a hurry so didn't have time to clarify)

Thematically, when the rebels are buying items, they know what things each hero needs to patch them up, so of course those can fix the MHD-19 as well.

But when forced to make do with the stuff they find, its hit or miss.

That makes sense, thanks everybody.
