squadrons used in BOTH ship AND squadron phase?

By Baudolino, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So I played a match in the local boardgame club.

He activated his fighters in the ship phase with a squadron command moved and attacked, but then he attacked AGAIN in the squadron phase.

He was quite adamant about it, but this just seems wrong to me. Surely you can`t use squadrons in both phases- even if they`re activated??!?

A Squadron can only activate Once (with one single exception)

In order to activate, a squadrons Slider must be the same as the Initiative Symbol (that's why you use it!)

When you activate, you flip the slider over.

A Squadron can activate in eitehr the Ship Phase, with a Ship Command, or the Squadron Phase, with No Command.

A Ship Activated Squadron can Move and Shoot in either order... a Squadron can only move or shoot in the Squadron Phase, unless it has a rule to say otherwise...

The Sole exception is a Squadron that has been activated by a Ship with Adar Tallon on it... ONE of those Squadrons can "De-Activate", after their activation, togglignt he slider BACK... So they could activate again, either with a different ship activation, or in the Squadron Phase.

He was incorrect.

He was definately not using Adar Tallon..

He was definately not using Adar Tallon..

Then he was definitely wrong. That's one of the main reasons for using the activation sliders - it makes it very easy to keep track of which squadrons have already activated this turn, given they could activate in one of two different phases.
