Biv is in the new Star Wars Movie? - Rogue One trailer

By D503, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

How can they make a trailer with so much Star Wars awesomeness in it so bloody awful?

Jyn almost made it, though turns out that's a popular name in Star Wars: Jyn Odan, Jyn Obah, Jyn N'oram and now Jyn Erso.

Hi there!

At 1:20, is that Biv Bodhrik running towards the camera?

Doesn't even look like him.

And I doubt they'll pull a name/character from some random board game.

i'm super pumped for this movie. And also for all of the new goodies that'll make their way into IA. Spotted a couple new stormtrooper types.

It feels ... strange.

I'm more excited for this movie than I was Force Awakens... cause this looks to be actually Star Wars.

.....to you.

Will I see it? Of course.

That said, there was just something about this trailer that didn't immediately invoke that feeling of "Star Wars".

Way too early to judge. This trailer actually looks like Imperial Assault: The Movie.

Hrmm.. so if the Imperials try even a little bit the Rebels are screwed? :P

Must be a good DM to let them get those plans.. clearly this campaign is imbalanced cause after they blow up the death star its all down hill for the Imp. Hard to recover from the exp bonus.

So you're saying Imperial Assault doesn't invoke the feeling of Star Wars?

Obviously I don't actually think any of the characters are in the trailer, BUT if an argument had to be made, Fenn at 1:16!

Damnit looks like he's already got the Pulse Cannon! Definitely upgraded to Blast 2 on that shot :P

He's Central Asian I think, not white.

I almost thought they pulled the name from Imperial assault and thought "of all the places to pull material from..."

Will I see it? Of course.

So you're saying Imperial Assault doesn't invoke the feeling of Star Wars?

No, I am saying that it took a few viewings before it felt like Star Wars. The initial viewing did not immediately cause a gut feeling "hey, this is a Star Wars movie" reaction out of me.

It has Stormtroopers, Royal Guards, and Star Destroyers that look exactly the same. The only thing that looked different were the AT-ATs.

Out of curiosity... Is EVERY Star Wars main character now gonna be a chick?

So what if they are? Also, there's more then plenty of characters in the movie who are men.

Out of curiosity... Is EVERY Star Wars main character now gonna be a chick?

Probably. That's the Disney "diversity squad" finding trouble where there is none. Its just more noticeable now that their taking existing IPs and ham-fistedly adding their social agenda.

Once again, how is it trouble? Are you troubled by seeing a woman in a leading role? Does seeing an Asian rebel make you feel weird? Why are their presence anything different, their characters are what matters not the race or gender. You said that aiming for diversity is funding problems where there is none but I can easily say your obvious problem with it is just as unfounded. I can say that your problem with it is the exact reason they are doing it. To make people aware that the world is diverse, that women and races are equal and that white males are not always the heroes. To give little kids a array of different people to look up to.

You're right. I never saw a woman before. I'm glad Disney is showing me how diverse the world is.

There is no problem having a female leading role. The problem comes from the characterization. Disney isn't doing this to serve the story, but to serve an agenda. It comes through in the writing, acting, and feel of the movie. Granted, this is just a trailer, but already we know that this 5'3" pretty girl is going to be sassy, chafe at authority, be a weapons expert, and apparently able to take out a squad of soldiers in hand to hand combat. Just feels forced to me.

Even if it is just a random Extra in the film it would be amazing of Disney to say yeah this guy is Fenn :D

It wouldn't be the first time something like that would be done http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cid_Rushing was just a random extra named 'Cid' in reference to Final Fantasy since those games had Wedge and Biggs all the time.

I don't know, unless Han Solo gets into some weird adventure I'm pretty sure his side movie will have a male lead.
