Screed and the Unique squadrons Rhymerball

By Sanguinary Dan, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I would consider a gunnery team on the ISD. Since it is your only heavy hitter, you want to shoot that front arc as much as possible.

Generally I've needed more help bringing down enemy squadrons than ships so I went with Flight Controllers. I'll admit that being able to fire twice out the fore arc is nice, but I think I've had more than one ship in arc and range twice in 4 games.

I think I like this better than my first pass. It makes the Raiders much more dangerous to well shielded ships. I lose some of the anti-squadron firepower that Flight Controllers gave me, but I think it's probably worth it. After all, I might get a really good Crit from the APTs.

One of the hings I like most about Gunnery Teams is that it lets you shoot your second attack at fighters, which you can many of with that wide front arc.

I played something very similar, but I had Bossk instead of Mithel, had an ISD I with Wulff and FC on it, so I could activate all 6 at once, it was good fun.

No reason this can't be a fun, I'd defo switch Contested outpost for Firelanes though.

Why Firelanes? I figured Contested Outpost would force those squirrelly, little Rebel players to come to me.

Though now that I consider it, an ISD-1 would be better in that case. Make them come into black dice range, etc....

Same idea but more points per round, plus it means they really will come to that specific area, its 45 points per round, so you can park the squadrons in a spot to capitalize on it, placed well they can shoot every round, without needing a squadron command.

Ok, I played a variant of the fleet with Tarkin in the ISD-I (Relentless, X17, EHB, BC, Flight Controllers) with 2x Raider-I (APT, OE), but the same fighters this afternoon. I beat a Mon Mothma fleet (AF MK.IIB, 2x MC30 torps, CR90B(?) with 4x YT-2400 by 8 to 2. It might have been better if I hadn't flown one of the Raiders off the table. The other laid a great volley into the nose of the AF only to be slagged by it and an MC30. :(

It was my first win in 3 weeks and I've got to say I was pleased with the work the unique squadrons and ISD-I were able to do. The Rebels spent a lot of effort avoiding the short range forward arc of Relentless allowing the Raiders and squadrons to strip their shields. Some credit goes to the minefield I layed, but the ships did good work.
