So, just got done reading the first issue.
SPOILERS:
Unfortunately, no new suitable Resistance ships.
Plenty of T-70 pilots though.

He was such a none entity in the film I can't say I'd have much interest in a comic about him.
Flying aircraft carrier .. Hovering Stormies .. No Ello Asty .. Shame shame shame.

I know you didn't just diss Jumptroopers.

No Lt. Bastien either...
Meanwhile in Xwing land; red ace and blue ace.
Wow. What cop out names.

Indeed, it's a shame that in a galaxy far far away people are differentiated by their colour. I heard Blues can't even vote yet.

Poe seems to be more about the new EU then the film. Rather that let him take the lime light in the movie it seem they want to build him up in books and comics
I wonder if imperial assault can work in jumptroopers, like the AD Combat Jump troops in Infinity......
Observation: More evidence of TIE's landing on their wings rather than racks.
That ship does look atmo only, if it wasn't then I'd expect an internal hangar deck.
Edited by DariusAPBwell, I think Poe has already had significantly more film time than Wedge ever did. Wedge was another example of becoming a legend through ancillary material.

Really? His brief screen time is considered to be a high light of the film.

The only character trait i got from him was that he's a good pilot, he's not even 2 dimensional he's 1.5.
Seriously?
I got charming, witty, loyal, friendly (I loved the bromance between him and Finn).
I also got Wedge 2.0. But willing to forgive that.
Huh. So it wasn't Ello that got blasted at Starkiller Base? Or was it? IDFK. I can't tell those guys apart.

He was kind of a McGuffin though let's be honest. One minute he's not there, a couple hours later he's like "oh yeah uh I was rescued sorry bro."
Oh yes his appearance is totally unexplained. I didn't like that so much, but again am willing to forgive it. As it's starwars, and you see that all the **** time in starwars.

Compared to The prequels Ric Olie. (HAH don't bother pretending you rememeber him) and OT's Wedge (Generic wingman in first film, appears in other two with as many lines WHICH ITSELF MAKES HIM BADASS).
Edited by DariusAPBI hope they get Denis Lawson on-board for Episode 8, and have Wedge come out of retirement to help the Resistance after the destruction of Hosnian Prime. It would be awesome to have Wedge and Poe flying around destroying stuff.

I actually do remember Ric Olie though.....
They've wanted Wedge in the prequels and TFA too. He's said no dice each time.

If I was the director, I'd give him a bigger part, increase his pay, and give him front section billing. Hopefully he would come back for that.

Not only a good pilot, the best resistance pilot, and also an important resistance intelligence agent, a survival expert, badass against interrogation, with a heart for the suffering of weaklings, a leader, and probably with a interracial gay love interest that could develop in a full amorous triangle in the future.Well, obviously he haven't a Citizen Kane's character development, but for a Star Wars Film...
Nononononono those are princess leia traits i'm talking about stuff specific to him not stuff carried over when he was given the princess role.

Leia forces Dameron to look at Finn with undisguised desire?Leia forces Dameron to reveal his position trying to avenge the death of innocents in Daaku?Of course, Poe act as an intelligence agent, and as wing leader because Leia (or the resistance leaders) ask him to. But Bond also act as spy because the MI6 ask him to.
I don't think you understand poe is princess leia he fills the exact same role Carrie did in a new hope, he is a gender swapped copy so he has via osmosis gained her character traits.
