Definitely cool. Liked the battle in the streets with the scout walker. Liked the commando raid busting her outta jail, looked like a great way to start out EoE PCs in an AoR campaign to me.
The Spoilerrific Super Duper Rogue One Megathread!
For my money, shots like this sold me. Unusual framing and composition, but really liking it.

The Kel Dor were booked that day, so they brought in their cousins, the...Bel...Blor.

Yeah, that guy's screwed...Big Daddy V doesn't seem too happy...

When does he? "Not too happy" is pretty much his default setting.
Anyone see this on the first viewing? I'll be honest I did not register it till the second viewing.

Yah, I like the overflight shadow on the ground.

JEDI ROCKS
amazing
"Sorry man, that was a fully armed and operational dump I just took. You might not want to go in there for half an hour. . . "
Looks great, telling a story using that shot of the ISD in atmo over the city would be a great AoR adventure.

Right? It's accomplishing a lot in a very economical shot: densely populated streets in an underdeveloped city with diverse alien races, loomed over by monolith of a ship. It's Egypt.

I'm still not used to the idea that Star Destroyers are atmospheric ships though. 30 years of thinking otherwise is tough to overcome.
They probably don't have a way to land on the surface, but for intimidation factor parking in the skies above a city sure would work.

Well, it's been canon since Episode II. I know what you mean, though.

Looks great to me! I have to confess, I'm way more excited for this than Ep. VII! Love the shot of Jyn sitting in prison. I think I will steal concepts from this for my campaign.
Plus, Vader. And the scenery was waaaay awesome! I love actually seeing Krennic outside. Almost none of the movies have shown a high-ranking officer outside of a ship of some kind.
My interest in the blind monk is also rising. I think he's going to be something new and really interesting that we haven't seen in a SW movie before. It never made sense to me that people could lose faith in the Force in only 20 years. I mean, when the Jedi ruled the galaxy...Ahem...I mean, when the Jedi were guardians of peace and order, pretty much everyone had to believe in the Force, or they wouldn't have respected the Jedi. It seems to me that if you have a galaxy where Taoism is the prevailing belief instead of an organized western-style religion, then such people as this monk who believe in the Force even if they aren't sensitive would be the norm, rather than the exception.
Soo, does that mean that the Empire is also attacking belief in the Force?
Regardless, that was my favorite trailer to date! The Jedi rocks are very poignant, half buried in sand.....
I met a traveler from an antique land who said "A vast and buried sword of stone lies in the desert, near it on the sand, half sunk a shatter'd visage lies who's face, of calm serenity and gentle peace, shows that the sculptor well that warrior read.....
I'm not a very good poet, but there you have it.

My Name is Sifo Dyas, Jedi of Jedis!
Look on my Clones, ye Sithies, and despair!
Edited by GreyMatterIs that yet another new shuttle or am I forgetting something? At the very start when a younger Krennic (?) lands with the black Stormtroopers we see a shuttle swoop in and land that looked very familiar to me. But, I can't recall where I've seen it before unless I'm recalling a Skyhopper? Was there something like it in Rebels? It would be pretty cool if some history was given to a Skyhopper, (a.i. it began as a fast, light Imperial drop shuttle that was later retired and converted to civilian use when the Empire came out with Sentinels and Lambdas).
Lots of Imperial shuttles now in canon lore for the Rebellion time period:
Lambda: Courier, fast. Often used for VIPs or VICs.
Sentinel: Combat drop ship.
Rogue One 4-winged: Large shuttle for bulk moving of cargo.
Rogue One Skyhopperish: ?
Someone was less than impressed with the trailer:

Yes, Krennic has his own shuttle, which is apparently a Delta-class T-3c shuttle, and appears to be different from the double-wing cargo shuttles we also see. The design is similar to the skyhopper but I presume taller and blockier. Canonically the Skyhopper is a much smaller ship with a limited use, not ideal as the personal transport of a intelligence officer and his cadre of personal troopers. I think the scale on the Delta is actually pretty big, it might be bigger than Lambdas - maybe more suitable as like, a mobile command or "office" for a ranking military or intelligence officer, as opposed to something more combat or general-purpose focused.

Quality!
Love the callback to magic-stick man.
