Cannot wait for this. :-) I do hope Vader makes an appearance - I just love him as an antagonist.

Jyn Erso
I want an official high res still from him.
Best I could grab right now.
What a badass.

Edge of the Rebellion.
Now that TFA came out good I don't feel that I need to be as careful about getting excited about this one.
That looks like it's gonna be a good one.
Well, I had no idea that the Death Star's superlaser was plug and play. Who knew?
And holy smokes, did they ever nail the actress for Mothma. At first glance, I thought it was Caroline Blakiston all CGIed up.
And Donnie Yen? Badass!
And. . . the guy doing the voice over - "resisting arrest" and so on, but ****, doesn't he sound like Agent Kallus after his Heel/Face turn? The cadence, the accent, the tone is perfect. The dude on the left at 0:24 even sort of looks like the model from Rebels. It's unlikely, I know - but until proven otherwise, that's Kallus!
Is it December yet?
I'm probably wrong, but in the same scene at 0:24 it looks like that might General Dodonna hanging out in the shadows.
EDIT: There's a better look if you pause it at :35. Far left.

Thrawn confirmed?
Probably Tarkin I would think.
Yes!!!!!!! THIS is what I've been waiting for!!!!
I've been telling all my coworkers about this, and all I get in response is "Is that Episode 8?"
AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
You would think that if they nailed Mothma so well that they'd get the guy from E3 to come back and do the roll or something. Mr Cloak doesnt look anything like Tarkin.
However, I think I heard somewhere that both Vader and Boba Fett would be in this one.

Just spit balling. Could be some other hereto unnamed dastardly Imperial fellow from the ash gray uniform people...

I read the new Han Solo might be in it as a cameo.
I think...and hope this movie will help explain a lot more about the Rebellion and Empire. In ANH General Tagge says that the Rebels are dangerous and a threat, while most of the Naval officers scoff at him and the rebels weak. So I hope they show something that can show this divide between the Army and Navy and explain why one takes them serious, and one doesn't.
On Yavin, it seems to be larger, more complex, and more used than had ever thought. With the all of the Allaince High Command there. After the destruction of Alderaan, they must have divided up their key leadership structure to better protect them.
It seems we see Yavin Base in ANH as the evacuation is already underway, and almost complete.
I have also been hearing rumors that an all CGI Peter Cushing/Tarkin will be in the movie. I heard this is the most life like computer model built to date, and the most expensive one. No photos have surfaced yet, and this is still speculation, but some sources I have this from are pretty reliable. Rebel Force Radio Podcast is one source.
I did see a few months ago before TFA came out, some photos of TK armor and a set of Vader armor being worked on. Rumors were that they were for SWR1, but it could ever be confirmed.
I heard that Hayden Christensen was supposed to be the Vader actor with James Earl Jones as the voice.

The white uniform suggests the rank of Grand Admiral, wich is an order of magnitude higher than Grand Moff, wich was Tarkins rank. So I doubt it's him.
If it's actually supposed to be Thrawn I'd be rather disappointed by his lack of Chiss-ness. Also I don't think it makes sense for Thrawn to be Grand Admiral in that time-frame, but my Legacy knowledge is rather lackluster at best.
I'm excited though, as an Empire fanboy he is by far the most interesting to me.
Wait. Is she wearing an Imperial pilot uniform?!?!?!?
I'm digging the new Stormtroopers (not sure about the blacktroopers though... kinda got a buttface thing going on...)
Gotta like their tank.

Bwahahahaha!
That big baddie can not be Tarkin!!!! And I highly doubt they named him Thrawn. In the EU/lore Timeline Thrawn was not yet a Grand Admiral at ANH, and Disney is really trying to stay away from the old Star Wars Lore.
Remember the timeline for this is set right before, I mean like days to weeks before ANH. So we can go watch R1, and the end of it start up ANH and see what happens "Next Week on The Star Wars". This is a direct tie in/lead in to to ANH. So the things in this movie are going to have to look **** near identical to ANH. I can't see them making Tarkin look that much different, and with a new outfit... No he is some new, as of now unnamed big bad dude!
I really hope we don't see Fett or Solo. That would be really dumb, and serve no purpose for this story. That would feel really forced and just contrived. They don't need to pander to the fan boys.
I like the grit. "Edge of the Rebellion" indeed The OT (and, to a certain extent, all of the episodic movies) were hero quests, modern-day myths with villainous villains and heroic heroes, beating the odds and restoring peace and justice. This one seems darker and more nuanced, something like Nikita meets Terminator, a total departure for a Star Wars movie.
Don't know about you guys, but I'm officially excited
