at the risk of being dense, what are you seeing that I'm evidently missing?
Cygnus XG-1 Starwing "Assault Gunboat".
Photoshopped, I'm guessing (based on a- gunboat and b- the focus level is different for it than things that are even closer to the camera than it).

Yeah. Smells like desperation burning to me.
Given this is set in the time of the Empire, I believe I'll enjoy this movie far more than the new trilogy.

I loved the new Godzilla, and his first film Monsters so...I'm all good with hype!

Not a lot of space combat tho.
There is an X-wing, a few Imperial I-class Star Destroyers, some ground units and this, I assume, landing craft/transport:
Looks like a new kind of trooper on top of that Tank-Thing
Also new Tan Troopers with that huge crowd of imperials.

I missed the new ship, was there? I saw something big getting blown up that looked like a shiny Lambda... E: image above, yeah, does look like it might be a new landing craft, but might also just be a building.
Looks great though, and yeah, the casting for Mon Mothma is outstanding. I halfway thought I was looking at some kind of film trickery to use the original actress from scenes from the original movie.
Loving the rebel ground crew helmets making a re-appearance too, those things are great.
