Rogue One Teaser Tomorrow on Good Morning America

Wedge, Wes Janson, Davish Krail (Pops), John Brannon, and Wenton Chan are in the trailer.

I'm not sure that those helmet designs are made for entire squadrons...I often wonder where those helmet designs come from. I personally doubt that the pilots you named are the ones in that still (It would be neat if you were right, though).

I like to this it's the ones from the picture, leaving the make character with Jyn to be Biggs.

Not sure what you mean, the various X-wing pilots shown on-screen in the movies indeed have their own unique helmet designs. Wedge wears the same one in both ANH and Jedi, for instance. Some of the helmets in the screengrab do indeed seem to match up to pilots from ANH; Wenton Chan and Davish Krail specifically. Others not so much; The one that is supposedly John Brannon is missing details and has the wrong color at the 'nose', Wes Janson has been discussed, 'Wedge' is hard to tell since it's not entirely clear what angle he's holding it at, but it looks like the area that's over the ears is gray instead of white. All that said, it's not unreasonable that's who these guys are, given this is very clearly the base at Yavin IV and they were all stationed there. Curious to see if they're involved at all or just background nods.

Are we sure Jyn is Jan btw?

Isn't she...

jyn-odan.jpg

IMDB has her listed as Jyn Erso.

True, but as long as we're comparing Jyn Erso to Jan Ors, we might as well compare her to Jyn Odan.

After all, she is a troublesome gunslinger.

And Disney owns full copyright on Jan Ors, with Jyn Odan that might be different. And not having a canonical player character in IA would help as well.

Speculation of course, but fun speculation. :P.

Rey Katarn. I like the sound of that...

Rey Katarn sounds splendid.

The force is strong in your family. Morgan had it, Kyle had it and you have this power too.

Maybe she didn't say, "Jyn Erso."

Maybe she said, "Jan Ors, sir."

One can hope, right?

Morning wood has arrived.

Then you'd have to explain who those people are as Rogue One is not tied directly to the Skywalker saga

BTW, who cloned Mon Mothma?

BTW, who cloned Mon Mothma?

George Lucas lol As he cast her in ROTS but the scenes were cut.

Maybe she didn't say, "Jyn Erso."

Maybe she said, "Jan Ors, sir."

One can hope, right?

I believe they confirmed it was Jyn Erso.

BTW, who cloned Mon Mothma?

It is apparently the same actress who played her in ROTS, before her parts were cut.

Edit:

Nonsense.

It's totally Genevieve O’Reilly from ROTS

They found an actress that's incredibly similar to the original one (from the original trilogy).

Clarification:

Several women have had the honor of playing Mon Mothma. She was originally portrayed by Caroline Blakiston in Return of the Jedi. When the senator appeared in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars, she was voiced by Kath Soucie. And in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith the future leader of the Rebellion was played by Genevieve O’Reilly.
But wait a minute! Mon Mothma wasn’t in Revenge of the Sith. She was, but her scene was cut for time.
Luckily — much like elephants — Star Wars casting department never forgets. When they needed a Mon Mothma for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story they knew exactly where to turn. Genevieve O’Reilly! So 11 years after being mercilessly left on the cutting room floor, O’Reilly is having the last laugh.

You do not need to explain Morgan and you can have the new Jan Ors and new Katarn in this (Rogue) one.

If (not)Kyle Katarn and (not)Jan Ors hook up, its not a stretch to think that the 2 could be the parents of Rey. It would also explain why Rey was possibly trained so young as a Jedi. A former Imperial(double?) agent and a future Jedi Master would make for a fearsome child. Hell, what if (not)Kyle Katarn is the student of Luke who falls to the dark side and turns on Luke? Katarn did fall in the Jedi Knight series, after all.

Quick, somebody. I need new pants.

You can't expect though, that people follow all the movies, and if you make a reference to characters from another movie in the main trilogy...

Katarn fell, Luke fell, is there a jedi who doesn't fall? :P.

Kenobi wobbled but he never fell down.

Corran Horn had a "just say no" policy toward the dark side.

The only thing I was like "eh, what?" was that "tank" what was that? dosen't look imperial, why not just use AT-ST or AT-PT?

I think the Imps are escorting it, or just using local vehicles to transport stuff. Looks to have cargo containers on the back.

I like the thing. I always liked the grimy, used and patched look of Star Wars and Alien(s). Not the slick, always totally clean surfaces and ships of e.g. Star Trek.

Ever been into a ventilation duct which has been in use for some years? Starwars looks in that regard more realistically.

Remember Godzilla had a good trailer too...

Yeah, but Godzilla movies were never that amazing to being with.
