N'Dru & Binyare Pirates

The Pirates form a fighting wing to support their boss (and try to block). Kath does hard turns and tries to shoot you with her rear arc. Dengar rather than a K4 means I'm not tied to Green moves, which means hard turn + boost, which in turn means shots from outside a target's arc should be more achievable.

N'Dru either holds back or goes off on his own and tries to kamikaze something expensive.

Should work good against lower PS, but PS 8+ with positional actions could be problematic for both Kath and N'dru. Too bad you don't have points for an adaptability + intel agent scout-----would make a better blocker than the z-95s (you could drop glitter from one of your aces for it, although its less thematic and glitter is pretty good on both...)

The problem with Veteran Instincts on Kath is that it still only gets her to PS9 - meaning you're at the mercy of initiative against Soontir Fel and Veteran Instincts Whisper, and the PS10+ bunch just point and laugh.

The Intimidation scout is a good call, though. I'm not sure what would be a good 2 point option for Kath - N'Dru's already snagged Lone Wolf. - Maybe Juke? With Dengar I've already got red dice modification, and evading is a nice option. Alternatively Crack Shot gives a one-time punch that doesn't need actions.

While I agree with your assessment, the 2 pt EPTs are not worth it on Kath. You may try Juke, but you'll probably end up using the token more for defense than offense.

An alternative would be to use the 2nd Jump build without FA and give Kath PtL.
