Love these!

Looks great, keen to see the complete set!

Considering the next release is going to be a repaint set it is nice to have movement cards that won't need an update in 3 months.

These look great! Kudos!

Hey Folks!

Thanks for the nice feedback! Well, I've started working on them and I will upload them in small batches as I finish them. While I am trying hard not to make any mistakes, please let me know if I have and I will be happy to edit and fix them.

Ok, while I'm sure there is more than one way to print these, here is how I plan on doing it for myself. I place the picture in Microsoft Word, then I adjust the width of the photo to the same width as the pilot cards (2 1/2"/63.5mm) - it is important to note that I use a Movement Card that only has six columns (like the X-wing) as this is the most common setup, plus it sets the basis for the final sizing (keep reading, you'll see ;) ).

Pilot%20Card%20Width_zps0tpafp6j.png

Now that you've done this, you now know what the percentage size of the pictures all need to be to be in scale and consistent with each other(in this case 31%, double check for yourself though - just to be sure).

So, there will be some cards smaller (like the HWK-290) or larger (like the T-70 X-wing) but they will all have the same size fonts, arrows, titles, etc...But again, this is only how I plan on doing this - I just wanted to add this as a "know how" for those who wanted to know, that's all.

Ok! So, my next post (coming shortly) will include the first batch of Movement Cards that I have finished for the Rebels (Part I). Tomorrow I should have Part II finished, then I will start the Imperials (Part I & Part II) then Scum and Villainy (Part I & Part II) and finally, if there requests made, I will finish with the Epic Ships. Cheers and God bless ^_^ .

Here is Part I for The Rebel Alliance, Part II should be finished by tomorrow, God bless :D .

I was also thinking about a "Special Edition" version of the cards in reference to Juno Eclipse, Tetran Cowall, IG-88D, etc... or with upgrade cards like R2 Astromech, Unhinged Astromech, Nien Nunb, etc... as I thought it might be handy to have a special movement card for when a special Pilot or upgrade card really changes the movement dials. Anyways, let me know if this sounds good or not and if yes, then I will work on it after Scum & Villainy, thanks!

Why not make them the same size as upgrade cards? That way, you can keep them sleeved (doubt maneuvers are going to change) and tucked in the same way you keep your upgrade cards.

Copying another idea, if possible, find some space to put in the action bar options. Since you are using it as a mnemonic tool, might as well fit that in. All ships of the same type have the same action bars and maneuver options (as far as wave 8).

I wish the Wiki had these on every ship's page.

I recall someone telling me that maneuver cards were illegal in tournament play. However, if it came with the ship, then it must be legal right?

"During tournament play, each player is required to use components included in official X-Wing products with the exception of third party maneuver templates, tokens, and range rulers, use of which is addressed below..."

I like the look of these in general and realize these will be printed small but that's a lot of black ink.

If you wish, you can resize these movement cards to accommodate having them the same size as upgrade cards (please see below)

I decided to make these cards because the very nice ones online that I found made by Tom Howard (GeckoTH) are the same size as normal pilot cards and I just find that I run out of room on my game table after all of the shield/focus/evade tokens, upgrade cards, maneuver dials, etc, etc, etc...that's why I decided to make these as minimal as possible (in terms of info).

I found that as the pilot card already has all of the actions listed in each one, I didn't want to take up more room by adding what is already listed on the game table. However, If there are enough requests, I can add the action bar into these templates :D (but it will take me some time as I would need to start from scratch to make these with these new additions). Hope that helps :) .

Initially, I was going to make them with black arrows for the "normal" moves so that the background would indeed have been white, but I found that I wanted it to be the same colour as the movement dials. If it helps at all, any time I do projects like this (like for my other boardgames) I always print them at Staples as I find that their colour printers are very high quality and prices are quite reasonable.

If you prefer a white background, I found these made by "Hexis" (an X-wing community member) that are also very nice. Hope that helps ^_^ , God bless.

I wish the Wiki had these on every ship's page.

Would our esteemed SoC be willing to offer these pictures up for that purpose?

It serves a double-whammy of 'handy reference' and 'convinient place to find the dang things later'. ;)

I'm frankly shocked at you people, when did slavery become acceptable instead of praising the work he's been cruelly forced to do we should be fighting for the OP's emancipation.

Of course! No problem. Feel free to use them however you wish. I decided to share these movement cards I made because the X-wing community has been so awesome with answering so many questions for me and giving me some really good ideas for builds and stuff. So basically, my way of saying thanks :) to you guys and gals!

Wonderful - anyone here up for doing the editing?

Did they change the rules in the last FAQ do you cannot use movement reference sheets in tournament play?

These are great OP keep it up.

Cheers

I guess you could argue that the movement chart exists as an insert in every pack anyway, so is kind of "offical components". You could cut them out (the pack insert chart) and bring them to a tournament I presume?

These cards come as standard in Attack Wing packs (which uses the same flightpath system) and are very useful... Part of my OCD likes to know where I'm going so I don't just twist the piece of cardboard round and round wearing it out bit by bit... maybe that's just me...

These are useful references... You could even have them printed up as actual cards....

Hi my fellow X-wing fans! Hope things are going well for you all. I know I'm looking forward to the next two days as my wife is out of town, my mom is looking after my daughter and I get to spend two full days playing X-wing with my son! Woohoo!!!

Here is a sample of what I was talking about for the "Special Edition" version of cards (movement cards with unique pilot cards special moves or upgrades included).

Again, this is only 50% of what the full resolution would be, but I wanted to see if you guys like the idea then I will continue to work on the rest of them (after Scum & Villainy). Cheers and God bless!

Ok, without further ado, here is Part II for The Rebel Alliance, Part I for the Imperials should be finished by tomorrow, enjoy :D .

Looks great! Looking forward to the scum ones.

That's pretty amazing! I have been meaning to print out all the movement cards for a while now, but this is awesome! I am also eagerly awaiting Scum!
