Poor palp gets no respect these days, first Moff Jerjerrod kicks him out the airlock and now Boba.....
well on a decimator if you run Palp and Moff if someone gets a crit through preemptively toss the emp to cancel the crit, boba cant trigger

Unsurprising, tbh. Rebels had 1 contender in top 8, which was shredded immediately. 2 were U-boats, 4 were Palp Aces, and one was Imp Aces. I mean i'm glad that Palp Aces lost, and to a list with ordnance and Boba no less. Still, i can't help but feel disappointed that Rebels had such a weak showing in general.
(Not directing this at you particularly, but I've heard this reaction a dozen times since the news broke)
An entire wave of the community saying rebels were overpowered. Scum pick up their first major tournament win ever, and immediately people lose their minds that rebels are underpowered.
U-boats didn't kill BBBBZ, though. In fact, I'm almost wondering if they would be really good against them. Use the Z to block the blocker. It takes a lot of shots to kill one B. Those B's can fire back pretty hard.
With the mods available(Focus + TL + Chips) unless you roll absolutely abysmal results it takes at worst three torps to waste a B, and 2 is not unreasonable especially if you have a mix of Plasma and Protons. And at PS3 you'll get that kill before they get to return fire. I don't think that match goes particularly well for the B-wings. BBBBZ was at least partially a product of its time, when 60 minute rounds were common its point spread allowed it to get wins at time more often than not as long as it was ahead.

If the Z could cause bumpage, it might work. Possibly. ![]()
What about 4 x Dagger Squadron B-wings for the PS first strike? I'm not big on the averages, but if they can kill one Jumpmaster before it fires, it could work.
The Emperor needs his legroom.
More like roberoom.

Look at the results, this is close to the largest discrepancy between faction representation since scum came out. 2 rebel lists in terms top 32 despite being just under a third of the field is not a good sign of balance.

The data pretty clearly shows Rebels had an awful showing. While a small discrepency, Rebels WERE the least flown faction, and only had one player that made the cut, who get shredded instantly. 50% of the cut was Palp lists. As a rebel player, i havent had anything that can best Palp yet, and it's not like Palp is that new. Rebel control doesn't work anymore because the stresshog dies turn 3 and with palpy having everyone's backs that one turn window of double stress can very well end with no damage on either Imp Ace, and after that no GOOD Rebel ship has the maneuverability to match Interceptors, Advanceds, or Phantoms. The sheer action efficiency, damage output, and mobility that Imp aces have for such a relatively low cost blows Rebel ships out of the water. Soontir gets his 3 reds with all the focus tokens and Palp to back him up. Vader gets a guaranteed crit every attack, and two actions, and also usually has juke, so he probably rolls 2 hits as well and you can't dodge the crit. Whisper has 4 attack dice. Oh, and they all get a minimum of barrel roll, Vader usually has boost too, Whisper gets cloak so you'll almost never hit her anyways, and Soontir regularly goes entire games without taking a single point of damage.
But yeah, Rebel ships can regen 1 shield a turn. If we DIDNT have Regen, Rebels would have exactly nothing that makes them usable at all. Which is why the only Rebels lists that exist anymore HAVE to have Poe in them.
It's been this way since the Raider released.
