I' m new to the forums, and somewhat new to X-Wing (played a few games and stuff).

I have a question about some possible synergy between Jendon and Redline.

Jendon can assign a Blue token to a friendly ship at range 1, as long as it does not have the TL token already.

Redline may maintain 2 target locks on the same ship. You you acquire a target lock, you may acquire a second on the same ship.

Now, the question is, when I assign a TL to Redline, does it count as Redline "Acquiring" a TL? Does it trigger Redline's ability?

My guess without looking too deeply into the rules would be no. Compare Jendon to the wording on Dutch Vander. I would think "being assigned a target lock token" and "acquiring a target lock" are distinct things. If they were meant to work the same way they'd be worded the same.

No. Jendon assigning a token is not the same as Redline acquiring a target lock.

XX-23 S-Thread Tracers (Missle from Wave 8), however would allow Redline to acquire the target lock and get the second lock token on the same target.
