The precedent for pilot appearing multiple times is thus:

In the same faction, shares pilot skill and ability

In different faction shares pilot skill, ability changed to represent different facet of character.

I'd love to see a rebel soontir fel, if only to watch the collective aneurysm the imperial fanboys here would inevitably have.

Even if he had the same ability he'd be in an X-wing.
