The Walking Dead Season Finale Spoileriffic Thread of Spoilers

So who did Negan kill?

My thought was that Abraham or Aaron would have made the most sense. Picking the strong ones to make an example.

This video of the audio might make a fairly compelling case for someone else. From a rational standpoint this is not the choice I would have thought Negan would make. You don't need to cause any extra hard feelings on top of what you're already doing, right?

Get ready to riot, cause it was Daryl.

I could live with that. But would he choose someone who was already injured?

It was the black guy in that show it always is :P

I know in the comics it's Glenn but the show departs from the comics all the time, I could see it being Abraham or Daryl.

I keep thinking it was Rosita as I feel her story arc has been winding down these last couple of episodes what with the seperation from Abraham. Eugene was a strong contender especially after the whole "I was wrong" moment between himself and Abraham, also I just don't believe that they would have such an important character like Daryl go out like that.

They also carefully showed Eugene handing Rick instructions for his bullet manufacturing. They didn't have to do that.

Could be anyone.

Apparently Rick is wanting to move away form the show to spend more time with family.

Daryl has a new show starting soon.

Glenn would be true to the comics.

Johnny Red Shirt or whatever his name is. The young guy they met in Alexandria.

Abraham as they spent a considerable amount o screen time this season building his character and making him 'human'.

I don't think it's Johnny Red Shirt or the other lady. We don't care enough about those characters. Eugene and the bullet recipe scene was too obviously a 'dead cat on the table'. Carl and Maggie have a future in the comic story.

Do we care care enough if Rachonne goes? Probably not. She didn't get much personal time on screen this season to make us care. She was imply relegated to 'another chick that Rick is boning'.

Personally, I don't think that the producers even know. I think they'll carefully balance contracts, fan reactions (positive and negative) and possible future story arcs.

That finale was all build up with no pay off.

They don't need to keep view baiting everyone with these cliffhangers. You are either a fan of the walking dead and will tune in, or you've tuned out in season 2.

We will know who it was before the next season starts. It is pitifully easy to find leaks about who is where. There will be someone missing from most of the next season shooting. And that person will be attached to other projects. So they won't get a big reveal for the start of next season. They'll get a slow, whining-filled denial. I understand what they were going for, I just don't think it's realistic.

I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan, though. ****, he was good. Next season is going to be great.

Just wish they hadn't done the cliffhanger again...

Nah, I figure Michonne will be the last one standing of all the characters.

She's still in the comics/series right? I stopped reading shortly after they encounterd the Mayor.

What's the walking dead?

What's the walking dead?

World War Z without Brad Pitt. :D

*runs*

Is that the show where Glenn gets his head caved in by Negan and Lucile?

I finished the show last night with the Mrs and.....we were disappointed. It wasn't that good. It just kind of dragged on and had that whole weird monologue at the end of it and someone dies. It....was anti-climatic. I dunno....I just watched the season finale of Daredevil and Star Wars Rebels and they had much better season finales. As far as season finales go....this one left both of us wanting.

I felt it was stupid.

A whole lot of stupid.

Each ambush was painfully obvious, the fact that Daryl etc argued with each other (and therefore were not paying full attention) IN A KNOWN HOSTILE AREA the previous episode was nothing short of unbelievably stupid.

The fact that Abraham ford, an ex military Sgt isn't recognizing any military tactic is ludicrous.

The fact that neither Carol or Maggie communicated the fact that these guys are using radios, callsigns and pseudo military tactics pathetically stupid.

Good guys deserve to die from all these f**kups.

I'm wondering if there's only gonna be two seasons left. Seems like they're rushing things.

I think they all just severely underestimated the number of saviors. Once they knew it Abraham was under no illusions about how F'd they were.

I disagree. Very much so. The entire last 20 minutes was one HUGE payoff. This is one of the most epic cliffhangers that I've ever been a part of. That is ALSO a huge payoff. Negan finally showing up and being awesome was a HUGE payoff! I actually prefer not knowing. If we had seen Glenn or Daryl die... we'd talk about it the next morning and be done with it. But now here we are many days later, STILL talking about it. At work we have a death-pool going right now.

My pick is Abraham. He died in the comics not long before this, (Arrow through the eye), and puffed out his chest at Negan a little, like he was trying to be brave. I think Negan will want to squash a strong person. I also think it's a good ending place for Abraham now, because he was just about happy.

However I could totally see it being Sasha - and Abraham going completely nuts and hulking out on these guys.

I didn't get the same out of the episode that you did. The ending wasn't that good to me. The whole episode just kind of dragged on and ended up with a boring monologue at the end. Glad you liked it, though. It's better that someone did!
