Warhammer 40.000 Games ?

Does anyone have info's about this ?

I like Warhammer Fantasy but I prefer Warhammer 40K. Will 2010 be THE year for 40K ?

I really would like to see

- a LCG (there must be enough Sabertooth material for hundreds of cards but there is already Warhammer Invasion)

- a strategy boardgame with invasion fleets, space battle, surface combat and different armies (sounds like Starcraft The Boardgame)

- a Horus Heresy RPG in the "Warhammer Fantasy 3rd Edition" - Style (but there is Dark Heresy etc.)

Nothing really new but I'm missing some science fiction themed games. They have the rights so I hope they will do something with it.

2010 to Games Workshop will be a year for Fantasy with the release of 8th Edition along with a heavier focus on those army books rather than 40K Codex’s (although they've managed to shove quite a few in so their plate is very full). With the success of Space Hulk, there's always the chance that GW will get back to re-releasing it's other games or in the very least, letting FFG to capitalise upon the renewed interest in GW board games and do it for them.

As far as I'm aware, there is a restriction on their (GW) IP that others are not to make miniatures in their own scale but aside from that I'm not too sure but would love to see someone of the calibre of FFG to be allowed to explore the 40K universe in a more controlled board game or CCG environment rather than GW's tabletop or FFG's excellent RPGs already available.

I'd just be happy to see some sort of space/sci-fi/cyberpunk LCG, whether it be 40K or Shadowrun or Twilight Imperium or whatever.

A Shadowrun LCG would be awesome! Although, to be honest, a Mass Effect based LCG or even a Dune themed game would rock my world (not that FFG could get the Dune license... they've been trying for years apparently).

Shadowrun would be a good game for the cooperative "Arkham-Engine":

A Team of runners fighting against a corporation plot.

Ha ! It's here: Horus Heresy :)

Besides the 40k games, how about a board game for BATTLEFLEET GOTHIC. Games Workshop of the Imperial Navy of the warhammer 40k universe?

You can buy the ships at GW-Mail Order, but the "Battle Fleet Gothic"-Rules are free to download.

A board game version would be nice but I don't believe that they release such a version of a "living" game.
