I used the following list today and defeated four TLT Y-Wings with below average rolling. I am trying to improve it and any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
24 Jake Farrell A-Wing
3 Proton Rockets
(27)
23 Arvel Crynyd A-Wing
-2 Chardaan Refit
3 Push the Limit
(24)
22 Gemmer Sojan A-Wing
3 Proton Rockets
(25)
24 Blue Squadron Novice T-70 X-Wing
(24)
100 pt list
OK, now we made one big mistake, which is that Arvel cannot boost into enemy ships. I will correct that by adding a 1 onto my movement distances with Arvel from now on. I never really got to use the push the limit on Arvel as I was too busy trying to crash into opposing ships. After the game we discussed my list and his list and how to improve it. I recommended that his four BTL-A4 Y-Wings would be better with two of them having true turrets. He agreed. We talked out that I should have have two T-70 X-Wings as the A-Wings were just too fragile. With that recommendation I made the following list:
23 Arvel Crynyd A-Wing
3 Proton Rockets
0 Guidance Chips
(26)
22 Gemmer Sojan A-Wing
0 A-Wing Test Pilot
3 Proton Rockets
1 Veteran Instincts
0 Guidance Chips
(26)
24 Blue Squadron Novice T-70 X-Wing
(24)
24 Blue Squadron Novice T-70 X-Wing
(24)
100 pt list
I plan to use Arvel's proton rockets when I fail to crash into a ship the first time as he will be at range 1. The purpose is for the A-Wings to brawl at range 1 and for the X-Wings to provide a beefy escort for my brawlers. My regrets are that I did not have enough points for push the limit on Gemmer and for integrated astromechs on my T-70s.
