Dead Agents

By Drasai, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

If an agent is killed, he cannot be returned to the encounter as a reinforcement; however, can the monsters he replaced be brought in as reinforcements?

Think of the agent as counting as those replaced monsters. When the agent is defeated, they can be reinforced- just like placing a master ettin is not against group limits as long as the master ettin has been previously removed from the map.

I figured the same thing would apply. The OP question is excellent. But is this clearified in the rules somewhere? I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

In the "Agents" paragraph of the LT pack rules:

"While the agent is on the map, the overlord cannot use the monster
figures it replaced as reinforcements, regardless of quest rules."
When the agent is defeated, he's not on the map.
