What's with the Not Available

By Rikalonius, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I'm sure this has been asked. And I'm sorry for duplicate thread, but what is up with the "Not Available" on every product? I can't even tell the status, like at the printer or on the boat, etc. What happened? Usually when a company doesn't sell directly they just put links to where you can buy it. I'm just curious.

Edit: Ok, I'm reading the thread below, but I'm not sure I understand what started it. It has something do do with FFG merging with Asmodee Editions, I can see, but what does it all mean? They are not allowing online stores to get stuff?

I thought it was because Hasbro has Star Wars license for boardgames in the USA. We know that FFG had to make some sort of agreement with Hasbro (FFG could not pass Imperial Assault as a miniatures game), so there may be all kinds of clauses in it that we don't know about. Some kind of agreement was necessary for FFG to be able to continue publishing IA.

Apparently the agreement has opened the opportunity for FFG to produce other Star Wars boardgames (Star Wars: Rebellion).

But, we don't really know.

It sounds like whatever agreement they came to with Hasbro, part of it means FFG can't sell the game themselves (why it won't be on sale at Gencon).

Keep in mind, that's just the retail FFG online store. Nothing to do with any other FLGS or other distribution channel. I don't think anyone who actually has any details about the deal with Hasbro will be posting anything here. Anything you do see is pure speculation.

Gremlins! Gremlins ate their stock after midnight and now its all gone horribly wrong there!

I am little worried as many figure packs are getting sold out in our country. I have been waiting for twin shadows since february. I even contacted wholesale distributor of FFG in our country. They are mostly out of stock and only part of the supply chain. They have recieved no Twin shadows box since january but expect them to arrive somewhen in june. I asked on FFG facebook. They plan reprints and provided me link to "upcoming" but there are only X-wing reprints apart from new stuff. I also posted ticked to support month ago about broken probe droid. I got positive response but they are even out of the spare parts right now.

FFG changed their format to their online store. No product shows "At the printer" or "on the boat" any longer. It's either out of stock or in stock. I know that distributors in the US have a decent stock of IA. Perhaps the game is gaining in popularity and FFG didn't anticipate the growth and got behind.
