So Discord is a really nifty Chat and VOIP program that is 100% free to use. It works on Mobile, as well as a Home Computer/Tablet, and has multiple text and voice channels. /u/p0rkch0pexpress on the XWing TMG reddit has set a server up for XWing players. In an effort to spread the information i offered to post it here as well for those who might be interested.

It's a great skype alternative for Vassel, or Tabletop Simulator games both for VOIP, and chat room style Functionality. So if anyone is interested here is the web address for the server.

If you click on the link it will open in the discord browser app, no installation needed, but it does have some limited features. If you want to download and install the full discord app a Link to their Download Page is here . With their various platform options. If you have the Application install you can simply copy the server address, click the add server button, then paste the address in.

Eh, couldn't resist. When I mentioned this to my 2 daughters, this was their interpretation.

I didn't really like Discord. The app does not send notifications while not using it, so you'll have to call or text to set up the chat. That alone makes me wonder why I'm not just calling the person rahter than using an app. There was something else, but I uninstalled it and can't remember. Disappointed, but maybe you guys can work it out.

I think this was a problem with your config rather than a limitation of your application. You can setup the app to notify you about basically everything via push notifications. Though just getting popup when summoned via @Folkenhellfang or @everyone seems enough for my taste. Considering how spamy the genesis channel is with that, you can mute individual channels on top.
