Rebels the Show (May contain spoilers)

By Beatty, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

Since the last episode of Season Two is over I thought we could discuss the show and where it is going. And give room for a discussion on the pros and cons of the show. I know there are people that dislike the show but let's keep the discussion to what the show is and leave the blanket "I hate it!" out.

I myself like the show even though the target audience is between 7 and 15. And much like the Clone Wars the story is becoming more and more adult themed and taking a darker turn showing the darker aspects of the Galaxy. Even though I may not agree with every choice of their episodes I find the over all story a positive expansion to the storyline overall. It does give us insight into how the Reble Alliance started and their issues keeping the movement going.

What are your thoughts?

I actually really enjoy the show and the season finale was amazing, however I do miss the Grand Inquisitor but I understand why they killed him but I wished they didn't replace him with both the seventh and fifth brother who were completely incompetent and I'm glad Maul killed them and how Vader was a complete badass in this especially when fighting Ashoka

I didn't think the Seventh Sister or the Fifth Brother were worthless, they were just very subpar to the Grand Inquisitor. Maybe that's why no one has been made Grand Inquisitor yet is because they are lack luster and don't stand out like a fallen Jedi does. (Turns out the Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi before order 66.)

But Vader was a Monster but we all knew that before, I was just surprised Ahsoka could go toe to toe with him. Shows how far she has come. And her claims that she is not a Jedi also make it very interesting and I look forward to future books about her.

Now Ezra's and Kanan's storyline both took a huge turn from this last show. Ezra is subcoming to his anger and grief showing his attachment to his loses. Kanan is going to have to learn to coop with his new disability and may bring a new look for him in future episodes. Will he become more of a meditative teacher and less of a fighter?

Looking forward to the next season even without Ahsoka.

Now that I look back at it, I agree that the Fifth Brother and seventh sisters weren't worthless, just extremely weaker compared to Vader and the Grand Inquisitor. As for kanan, it'll definitely be interesting to see if he becomes the new Kota from the force unleashed. I will miss Ashoka but I believe that she might return at the end of season 3 or in a novel but I personally believe Vader killed her and what we see at the end is her spirit entering the temple. Can't wait for season three!

Well the writers have already confirmed that there will be an Ahsoka book(s?) and when asked directly about Ahsoka's fate he played it very ambiguous but mentioned optimism is a good thing. But for now her and Vader will be taking a backseat for Ezra and Kanan. Still wondering what Agent Kallus will be up to after his incident on the moon? Was he starting to have, heaven forbid, second thoughts about the Empire!??

They left many more story plots open than at the end of the first season.
