movment question

By drunkensith, in Star Wars: Rebellion

we may be reading the rules wrong but it seems you put a leader in a space with no leader and move adjacent ships (with units) to the leaders location.

If this is right can you move a transport with a stormtrooper to 6 locations a turn to find hidden base? if not why? I don't see anything in the rules to stop this. if it works this way the imperials should find the base in 3 or 4 turns every game.

Rules Reference Pg 9. Moving Units - "Units cannot move out of a system that already contains a leader from its faction."

If a leader is in a system they prevent units of their faction from moving out of that system.

You can put leaders into spaces that already have leaders, and you can then move units in. You just can't move units away from leaders already on the board.

you can't move units from a system with a leader.

So that limits you to moving a unit once per turn. (generally- I'm sure there's exceptions)

The only exception I can think of off hand are missions that move leaders around. There is an Imperial Mission that allows the Imperial player to capture a Rebel Leader anywhere on the board and then move them to the nearest system with Imperial units. It is called Collect Bounty. If that Rebel leader had moved units, and no other leaders were in that system, those units could move again.

I don't know how we missed that. thank guys. follow up question? I hope? if I do a misson with a leader in say naboo, can I then put a leader in naboo to move there? also I watched a video of "first game" ... when you kill all oppents people on a system you don't just take it right? do the imperials lose subjication? wow look at my spelling. thanks for being helpful guys, we had quit a few playing the first (6 hour) game tonight,

edit: if you did a misson with a leader in a spot you have no troops, can you then place another leader there to move there?

It doesn't matter if leaders are already on the space you want to go to, only if they are in the space you want to move from.

As soon as there are no Imperial ground units in a system, the system is no longer subjugated. Loyalty can only be gained through missions on either side.
