I am just playing around with the cool list builder that everyone is using.
I will be adding new builds as time goes on and my collection increases.
I am new to building lists, and I am just having fun using the limited cards that I presently have.

Edited by Red 7Looks pretty fun, but why waste the extra EPT slot? I would consider taking the shield upgrades down to stealth devices, making room to give Jake something like crack shot. I would also switch to opportunist in lieu of expose.
Also maybe get more hits in the squad list section?

As a lover of A wings... I would suggest you get a few games under your belt flying multiple Green w/ PTL A wings first. You need to start with the bread and butter to learn why it's important that they all have PTL. And this isn't a slap to Expose (though I could do that as well) - it's just a statement about PTL.
That said, I could see Opportunist on an A wing instead of PTL. Perhaps coupled with Lone Wolf to provide some sort of defensive boost, while also providing a reroll on offense. Clearing the stress is simple enough, and 3 dice + F (2.25 expected hits) is better than F+TL on 2 dice (1.88 expected). So from a pure offensive point of view, that would be a nice thing to do.
As an advanced list, I've been toying with Expose on Tycho actually. When coupled with Rage and Experimental interface, he can Rage + Expose to get the equivalent of TL+F on 3 dice, without losing anything (except that evade token for defense). Not saying it's a good combo, but something I've been musing with. But you can't argue with Wired on Tycho, it's always a good choice.
As for Jake, a minimum put Adaptability on him! It's 0 cost, and makes him a PS8 to match Tycho. If you're set on shield upgrades (which I would argue against), I would put it on Jake or Tycho - they'll be the priority targets, so having the extra health would be a good thing for them. However, I would argue to change the SU from Gemmer to Autothrusters for both Gemmer and Jake (Because Tycho already has EI, right?).
Keep the thoughts rolling! It's always nice to see love for A wings.

What lists did you play against?
It was dengar and one y wing with tlt, and N'dreu. I don't remember all the upgrades but I crushed them, the early procket strikes on dengar and the y wing were key. 5 hits each!
Lost in final four Store Championship last year to Brobots ..stupid bump... with this list. Ate up several Decimators on the way.
Tried an Ezra version this year, didn't go well from some stupid mistakes.
Rage on Tycho was interesting. Rage and Boost was fun, but almost wasted at times....so just pondering losing PTL and going back to PS 10. But Rage is well worth it on Tycho. Stopped counting after 25 stress.
I did get DESTROYED!!!!! by a Deci-Palp and Wompa that naturally rolled crits 3 turns in a row. Also took a Procket, and 3 additional attacks. Finally destroyed after 4 rolls of an AutoBlaster Turrent that landed two hits. Worst game EVER.
Point being, Watch out for Wompa as it will tear up any 2 Hull ships like A-Wings.
What expansions do you have? I'm guessing you're doing tournaments and thus need the correct cards (otherwise proxy away, most cards are just rules text) and it's difficult to suggest things without knowing what you have.
You've got TFA core, Rebel Aces, what looks like two red A-wings and I'm guessing the Falcon for the shield upgrades.

A guy won our store champ running 5x green squad with chardaan refit, test pilot, adaptability, autothrusters and crackshot. It was impressive to watch. With all the turrets there that day, those autothrusters worked overtime.

I guess that the meta in the area determines what cards/upgrades need to be taken on the A Wings.
I can see how ATs turning a blank to an evade at range 2+ is helpful against the abundance of TLT lists.

Has anyone got any A WING stories of A Wing Aces/Named Pilots winning at a competitive level, or are A Wing lists restricted to having clone Green Squadron Pilot builds?

The Ion Pulse was there because the meta was very heavy on large ships at the time and if I could ion a ship I would easily be able to get both Jake and Tycho to range 1 to nuke it. That pretty much won me the Top 8 match against brobots as I managed to ion one of them onto an asteroid. Something I'd consider now would be to switch Daredevil for Rage on Tycho and getting a Crack Shot for the Green to help ion high-agi targets as well. Haven't tried that list yet though.

This guy's A-wing list looks really good. I haven't been able to try it out sadly since I don't have 4 A-wings, but it looks pretty well thought out.
Have any of you tried 6 prototypes with refit? You can even put autothrusters on 5 of them. I'm considering trying it but I'd have to buy 2 more A wings and I'm not sure it's worth it. It could be a fun rebel swarm though.

I can see it being a fun list to play, but my understanding is that A-Wings should be flown with PTL...
That being said, This looks like a REALLY fun list to play!

Have any of you tried 6 prototypes with refit? You can even put autothrusters on 5 of them. I'm considering trying it but I'd have to buy 2 more A wings and I'm not sure it's worth it. It could be a fun rebel swarm though.
I have, and I believe better is to upgrade 1 of them to Jake, or 2 of them to Greens and give those ship(s) PtL. The extra punch goes a long way, and having a couple of ships that do something beyond just move and shoot makes the squad much more interesting to fly.
