Aquatic Spaceships?

By Shaoken, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

In the Chronicles of the Gatekeeper adventure they have an underwater sanctuary on Delriss. The last time we were there we just used our space ship and took the four purple dice to get down there. Since we left the sanctuary intact and our GM said that it would still be there the other players in my group want to make the sanctuary their permanent base, but between the 4 purple and 1 black dice difficulty (with our current ship and talents applied) to get to and from and the wording on how the ship will get damaged if it's submerged for more than a short period I was looking for a safer alternative.

Since we haven't had an answer for what we'd do with our ship while we were using a submersible, are there any mods to make a starship designed for aquatic use or failing that, any examples of starships that have the aquatic trait?

There is one in the new Special Modifications book, if I'm not mistaken. One hardpoint, but I don't recall the other stats.

All it does is allow for submarine operation without penalty. 1 HP, 1000 x Silhouette for credits, rarity of 5. I'm guessing any Mon Calamari freighter (of which we have two) could operate underwater without penalty as well.

Heh, well there's a thought.

"Now where did they hide their MC80?"

"I don't - ahh!! They hid it in the ocean!"

Before my group played chronicles of the gatekeeper they had visited a Rebel base under the water in the polar region of a world. I had the Rebels provide one shot shield generators which could be fixed to a ships exterior to temporarily make it aquatic. They had not been successful in extending the life of the generators. It was based off of a basic understanding of Mon Cal ship design. This could possibly help, they may be able to refit the generators with a little effort.
