I was playing against a friend last night prepping for a Tournament with 2 IG88s HLC with Crack Shot and Glitterstim.
I initially tried a weird variation on Dash Corran: (100 pts)
Corran Horn+PTL+Plasma Torps+FCS+R2D2+Guidance Chips
Dash Rendar +Stay on Target+HLC+Outrider+Navigator
Corran got off a shot in the first attack with his primary and gained a TL to prep for reshot with the Plasma Torps, but both IGs hit and killed him before he could even regen a shield or fire back.
Dash flew well with the combination, but the lack of modifiers on attacks made him unable to get past the evades and shields of the IGs and they turn by turn took him down. I typically could keep one ship out of arc, but not both.
0-100 loss.
Second Game,
I went to a more standard Dash-Corran Build:
Dash+PTL+Engine+HLC+Outrider+KyleKatarn
Corran+PTL+R2D2
Dash essentially flew around untouched for most of the game and Corran died after one IG was down to only 1 hull and the other one had 4 shields gone.Dash moved around for about 3 more rounds and lost 3 shields while killing both IGs.
100-42 win.
I'm not happy with Corran's lack of an ability to do a green turn to get turned around quickly and have actions. I spent a number of rounds trying to evade being shot and could not get turned around to fire until right before he died.
If they come out with a Rebel Veterans pack, it would be nice to get some new E-wing pilots and a Title that could give green turns.
Not sure that will happen, for the fear of an overpowered Corran, but it's the one weakness I see in an already pricey ship.
