VT-49 Imperial Decimator Deck Plans

By DiggityDug, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Hello fellow X-wingers. I have just gotten into X-wing and my love for all things Imperial has been inspired by the beautiful VT-49 Decimator. Now Im not saying that Im the kind of guy to sub-vocalize "Pew pew pew" as I fly my ships around... but its a possibility.

I looked at the massive front window of the Decimator and I wondered what was behind it. So breaking out my inner Geek, i wanted to know what the Decimator looked like on the INSIDE. After some internet research,I used my non artistic Photoshop skills to come up with the following deck plans. I am posting them here for any other Imperial X-wing pilots who happen to like going "pew pew pew" as they play the game. (You know who you are).

You do realize this ship was in Star Wars Galaxies?

It Started in galaxies and was a joy to outfit. The deck plans above paint it larger than it is , reasonably itd probably have 2-3 hotbeds, a small storage area, a small medical area and... that's all she wrote.

The problem with the configuration from galaxies is that corridors and rooms in video games always have to be larger than they really would be in reality. It's a limitation of the medium. That walk through from galaxies shows such a HUGE amount of wasted space, and a distinct lack of vital areas like beds and bathrooms, that I have never been able to take it seriously as the actual layout. It's nice to have at least an unofficial deckplan that doesn't have 30' wide rooms for no reason.
