Is an official FaD FAQ going to come out?

By Rhenora Geming, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I've been wondering, since I spotted several errors in the Keeping the Peace book with discrepancies between the Armor mod chart's hardpoint cost vs. specific Armor mod entry's hardpoint cost.

Also, I've been wondering why a 'finished' lightsaber with a stock Ilum crystal has the same number of hardpoints as a lightsaber hilt that is awaiting the installation of a crystal.

Which discrepancies?

Also, I don't think that's an error so much as a very odd way they've listed it. It was like that in the Beta, and they didn't change it in Keeping the Peace.

But there are a few differences between some prices in the gear section for the core rulebook as compared to the other two.

In Keeping the Peace;

page 54

Table 2-6 HP Required

Force-Attuned Resonator 2

In the description for Force-Attuned Resonator, it has Hard Points Required: 1

pages 56 & 57.

On Table 2-8: HP Required

Reactive Plating 4

Stun Matrix 1

In the description for Reactive Plating, it has Hard Points Required: 2

In the description for Stun Matrix, it has Hard Points Required: 3

It strikes me as that there was another example of two that I'd seen elsewhere, but I unfortunately I can't remember where.

The Lannik are wrong too, compared to Lead By Example.

i agree there needs to be a large FAQ/Errata soon, i hope they ask for input on things that need a clarification, almost an open Beta for it, to make sure all the big things are actually addressed.

We do know its in the works, or at least they are thinking about it since Sam Stewart (i think) mentioned on an Order 66 podcast that the way that Defence works was being "reviewed"

Actually, the Lannik in Keeping the Peace are the correct stats, as confirmed in episode 71 of Order 66.

yeah, sorry, i got that back to front. The point though that 2 books released within a couple of months had the same species with different abilities... whoops!

Because the hilt will always have 5 hard points.

The crystal takes up 2 of them so they are in use rather than removed from the weapon.

It came up in a conversation with Sam Stewart yesterday at GamerNation Con. He's working on it. But apparently he has some other larger projects in his queue.
