So I have decided I wanted to paint some of my ships. I used to play a game called Firestorm armada and I painted my ships then so I have some experience.
Problem is with a game like X-wing I want to stay in the EU as much as possible. Bacta Wars was an easy one for inspiration (my first custom paint was Wedge's X-wing since I use him the most) but can you guys think of any other ideas that I may have missed from the comics or something?

Not really EU but I would love to see some Homeworld inspired painting with the bright yellows, oranges, and reds. A light grey base pallet. I think it would look pretty cool on Star Wars ships. Not sure if you are familiar with the game but do a search or two and you'll see what I mean. Oh and I can't forget it's love of stripes on ships.

Gadge and Macross both have threads regarding repaints and modifications. I think it should be a good source since Gadge doesn't use modern paint schemes. Macross on the other hand just paints what looks good. The a Slave 1 in yellow with a two-tone green splinter camouflage borrowed from a WWII German Me 109.
I highly recommend both threads.
