LF GM for Solo Game

By snaykeeiyes, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Hey, guys. I'm looking for a GM for a play by post game. I've tried r/lfg and r/swrpg with no avail, and I figured this would be the next best place to look for a long term home for a character I've been trying to play for a few months now. I've tried two different times, but the GM's had to drop out. Trying to find someone who can go the distance and help me flesh out this character.

The character I had in mind was kind of something along the lines of Lost Tribe of the Sith. Basically, he's the next in line to be Lord of the Sith, but his master and her new apprentice betray him. They try to blow up his ship, they think he's dead, he crashes on this planet that hasn't quite gotten to space yet, but they're close. He tries to rule them and get them space bound so he can have his revenge and take back his title.

I've made a GM request thread on RPoL, but I'm open to whatever site. I saw something on here about roleplayinggames.net? Please and thank you!!

Sounds interesting, I'm not sure i have enough ideas in the memory bank to GM for you at the moment though.

no worries. hopefully someone comes along. lol

Solo game? Is that a game where it's just GM and you? I guess my question would be why solo and not a group?

I guess i should've clarified that i'm looking for a play by post game. my schedule is always pretty eratic, and i'd rather not bog the game down if for some reason i can't post.

If you have the setup all ready, I would try and post a new topic with a detailed beginning of the story. It would seem far easier to find 100 people to help with the story once in a while than to find 1 person comitted enough to run a whole campaign just for you.

Don't for get to post the characters build too!

How would that work to have an ongoing campaign?

How would that work to have an ongoing campaign?

If your the only person making the real choices you would be able to make sure it stays on track.

I've never played by post. My thoughts were more towards a GM normally spends more time setting up a campaign than playing it out. To get someone who would set up all that just for 1 other person would be be pretty lucky.

Maybe you have to try 'selling' this game differently. From the post you made, I can see a lot of what you want and hope to get from this game, but you are not the one you have to entice to join you. Give a post about what the game master might get out of it, what will make this special for him or her. Running a game is hard work, even a small one, and you'll need a reason besides "help me get off on my awesome character."

Sorry if that came off too condescending, but a good RPG is made by the relationship between the GM and players. I imagine this is doubly true for one on one experiences, and your post is all about you.
