French Joust Champion

By Arthur Lannister, in 4. AGoT Deck Construction

Here is the decklist I played at the french joust championship that I won. There's nothing extravagant in it, except the 2 Tyrion's Chains (rated 1.50 on tzumainn website ^^). I'll explain next why I put them in.

And sorry for my poor english...

Just a word on Tyrion's chain, that is in my opinion the "strangest" card of this deck. Before the tournament I was fearing the targaryen's deck based on jumpers. With tne kneeling effects you can control the greatest part of your opponnent's characters, but there was in targaryan house too much card that came in play in challenges phase. Put together Dragon Thief, Khal Drogo, Titan's Bastard, Queen's knight, Fairweather followers and to be a dragon, and you've got all you need against kneeling effects. 3 "You've killed the wrong dwarf" were not enough. Only this type of deck was really efficient against this deck. I've read that you thought in United States that Targaryans were far below but I was fearing them. And the Black Friday results show me now I wasn't wrong...

So I wanted to control the Targaryen's influence. I tried Condemned by the council, then the pyromancer's apprentice, with no great results. It was always 50/50 against the targaryen player of my meta. Then a friend of mine convince me to try the Tyrion's chain. I was seeing it like an event "Marshalling: pay 3 gold to kneel all your opponent's locations". But then we thought of a combination with the Alchemist's guild Hall: The operation became repeatable every turn ! So i tried it and it proves his efficiency against targaryens, but also against the Grejoy's warship (but it was harder not to loose a military challenge), and against the martell's Lost Oasis. That was great after all, quite usefull.

Thanks for reading. One more time, sorry for my english gui%C3%B1o.gif

Good game Champion gui%C3%B1o.gif

I win you the next time

Thanks for posting this! I'm always trying out new "recipies" for decks and its nice to find ones that won!

P.S I don't think your English was that bad!

Thanks for the list.

Honestly, the Tyrion's Chain made more sense to me than the one White Raven. I get it has it's uses, but just random to me.

Summer tax perhaps?

That and he was playing Lannister, so it didn't hurt him gold wise to make it Winter.

Just such a random idea for that deck.
