Weapon stats

By RoBro, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

As the GM for my small group I am always looking for new gaming aids to help run and create more smooth session. I recently found some Weapon stat cards form darkreign40k.com: http://www.darkreign40k.com/docman/gaming-aids/dh-weapon-cards-beta-0.091112/view-2.html : They say

S (some number) +10

M (some number) another number

L (some number) -10

X (some number) -30

Could someone please tell me what these mean. Thanks!

I believe the letters stand for:

S = Short Range

M = Medium Range

L = Long Range

X = Extreme Range

The numbers outside the paranthesis is the range measured in metres, the number inside the paranthesis is the bonus/penalty the shooter receive when trying to fire at the listed ranges.

Those are quick refs for the different range benchmarks for a weapon. If something is within 1/2 of max range, you get +10 to hit, if a target is further than that but less than twice as far as the effective range you get a -10 and if something is between two three times as far you get -30. And you can't shoot farther than that, I think.

They no doubt refer to "Short [range]," "Medium [range]," "Long [range]," "Extreme [range]."

Agreed with those above me, except I believe Varnias accidently typed his the wrong way round.
