I'm certain most of you remember Clem. Well, I miss him. I miss the excellent timing and descriptive examples of character generation and combat that ol' Clem provided. And, frankly, I'm worried that in this "immediate gratification/zero barriers to gameplay" world we live in, that this is the single biggest detrimental omission in 3e.
You see, FFG was always going to get most of the core WFRP audience out there to buy into 3e. What it was hoping for, was to branch out into an even larger audience. I believe the game they produced can do that. But, not in its current form. Unfortunately, there are people like me that need more complete examples and explanations in order to fully grasp the detail and intricacies of character generation and encounters. In fact, I'm quite leary of introducing 3e to my A.D.D. (attention deficit--no AD&D) gaming group, because I just can't get confident that I know what the hell I'm doing!
So, I know it's too late to ask for better examples that FFG has already provided. I'm wondering if there is a talented contributor out there that could help me draft up a full tutorial using our old friend Clem...bring the mechanics of this wonderful new edition down to a level that everyone can quickly grasp and enjoy. Anyway, what better way to help transition the old-timers like me, than to have a good friend like Clem show us that the water is indeed okay to swim in!
