Does anyone know if and when FFG will be planning any more source books. I want to buy this game, i have not yet but i would like to know how mch they are supporting this game.
New Books?
Judging from the extreme popularity and huge sales of this game I'd say it will be well supported (I had to wait an extra month or so to get a copy as the US had sold so many the first UK shipment of the book went there rather than here
)

If the support given and announced for Dark Heresy is any indication, you can expect a reasonable number of sourcebooks to be released.
I'd imagine you'd see the first lot of books for RT to start being released after the New Year.
okay, i was just surprised that after i read a few previews and stuff, that there was no info about future products, and i would have thought that they would have at least mentioned some on the product page considering it is and RPG and FFG really releases a lot of stuff for their RPG's
Thanks
The next book out is the Game Master's kit. After that we'll have to see. In the mean time the various DH books are handy. The creatures book is a must have for a GM. Ascension may have some nice stuff, and will be vital if you want to play DH characters in RT. I expect them to have a players hand book type book with alternate careers. Also expect the next book to have more ship rules or there to be a ships book.
FFG tends to do their plans for each calendar year, making announcements for the coming year early in each calendar year.
Thus, I'd expect to see " The Plan " sometime early in 2010, with all the fun goodies that we might expect to see over the next 13 months or so.
From the way the main rule book ready I get the impression that we will be getting a book on starship with tons more componants and hulls, more NPC vessels and such. The stuff you get in the main book is gret to get youstarted but you will need more if you plan on playing this game for more than a few months.
How much of the books that are already out for DH do you think apply to RT. I am specifically thinking about the advisary book.
Wouldn't be surprised if we got a adventure or campaign book coming up soon in the order of new RT releases.
The Upcoming page for the GM Toolkit for Rogue Trader has been changed from on the boat to shipping, so that book should be available soon...

Ya, I'm in the same boat of 'getting nervous'. I noticed the anouncement of a new campaign book for Warhammer Fantasy 3rd ed - and that got me pretty scared. nothing anounced at all for rogue trader... which has been out longer now. and I had such high hopes.
Sadness.... :-(
Well, given that I and my RP group are but one of the groups playtesting Rogue Trader products at present, there is nothing to worry about.

You can't get me to talk! There's nothing you can do that the FFG ninja won't do to me if I talk.
Plus, you know, NDAs and legal teams, all that jazz.
But yes, RT is being worked on. Don't worry about that!

If I had to bet, I'd guess that they will start showing up in retail stores later this week. To put it another way, get your order in at your FLGS now.

Awesome news. I figured they wouldn't announce something until folks like you made sure it was quality stuff. So...without giving away any details...how awesome is the stuff you're play-testing?

Very awesome, and that's all I can say on the matter.
I'm curious. If your opinion was 'well it's ok really, but not that great' would you actually be able to say that (in public)?

I could do, yea, but I really liked it
I'll be able to say more about it once it's released.
I am starting a game today and I figure I have about a months worth of material to work with in the book and all befor I start inventing stuff or stealing from DH. I am pretty happy that RT focuses more on the traditional elements of 40k such as Orks and Eldar and I really look forward to seeing stuff aimed in that direction.
