Well I wasn't trying to bite anyone's head off, either, in all honesty. I just felt a wee bit defensive after being fussed at for making my claim that it didn't seem like a widespread enough problem to warrant the type of posts made about it.

Really we should stop focusing on each other and just hope that this problem, however widespread it may be, gets fixed by FFG.

I have the card issue. I really think it is only a problem for shuffling, since I do not use sleeves. I mean I really cannot tell by looking at the decks what size the top card is while playing. They would have to be perfectly stacked up for that. But trying to shuffle those is a pain. They jjust shuffle in clumps. i ended uo doing the '3 pile' shuffle.

Dang. I just opened my Skavenblight cards and they are all smaller than my Core sets. Has anyone contacted FFG? Is there a fix? I doubt they will send me 3 of every card that is the wrong size.

okay mine are a teeny tiny bit smaller, but its not even really noticeable and I use sleeves.

I wonder what the real ratio of this issue is as no one in our gaming group has this issue with their cards, nor does my friend's (smaller) group in PA. Weird.

Just got my Skavenblight pack yesterday, (I live in UK) and mine are also a teeny tiny bit smaller than the core set of cards. I'm only a casual gamer and don't think this will bother me too much, atleast I hope not!

Sadly, add me to the list. Mine are very noticable, especially when you view the deck from the side...

I hope so, because when viewed from the side it is really noticeable! I guess sleeves would hide it, but I don't want to have to hassle with sleeves all the time.

I'm really not too worried about it as I am a big fan of sleeves too. It protects the cards and makes Farro shuffling them SO much easier.

i also use sleeves as well so it doesnt bother me as much if they are a bit smaller....

Got the expansion today and the cards are definately a different size than my core set : (

Don't get me wrong, I still want to pick up at least one starter, but I want to wait and see how FFG chooses to handle the card sizing issue first. Basically, I want to know which cards are actually "bad" (starter or skavenblight), if replacements are easy to obtain, and/or if newly ordered cards don't have the issues anyway.

I'm just incredibly anal when it comes to game consistency, especially since I won't be storing extra cards in sleeves. Nothing against the game (and no FFG quality rants here), it's just how I am.

its not enough of a difference to really notice it at all. or to prevent purchasing.

i got my skavenblight cards today

Just got my pack of ST yesterday (also in the UK) and they are noticeably smaller than the core set cards. Shouldn't be too big an issue since I use sleeves out of habit, but annoying none-the-less.

Hey I would be glad to even hold the cards in my hands right now. None of the local game shops have even recived a order of skavenblight yet. Im only three and a half hour drive from FFG, Im about to cross the border this boxing day and pick up what I can if it doesnt show up soon. Oh by the way I sleeve my cards since I try to make them last. I have three kids that play too.

Why wouldn't you simply order packs online?? Far cheaper and far more readily available, to boot. ???

The local game shops been good to me so I give by supporting the game shops. There is only two left in two and if they go under there is no more left to browse through shelf, hold game demos, or meet other local gamers. It doesnt kill me that there not in I just wished there was a local distrubiter instaed of waiting for those located else where to ship.
