Nara the Fang isn't available online, so apparently you need to be a Descent fan (She's apparently in the Seas of Blood expansion) to get that hero.

It was my understanding that there were no plastic figures with Sea of Blood, like Road to Legend before it. It's possible I'm mistaken about that, but it's also possible that only Nara's hero card is included along with a token to play her. Something we should be sure about before letting this be the deciding factor in a purchase.

Fantasy Flight put a mention of the Nara figure down at the bottom of their first Sea of Blood announcement:

"Also included in the first print run, as identified by a sticker on the box, is a promotional figure. Nara the Fang will be included in every box of the first print run..."

I doubt that'll decide for me whether to buy Sea of Blood, though! $3 plus shipping per figure was already pretty far up my price range for getting an extra hero.

Are there Runebound character cards with the figures?

Too bad Nara the Fang is not up there as well. (Runebound players should not be forced into purchasing a Descent expansion to get that one)

Note that the term "card" is singular. I'm not convinced that Nara's Runebound card is included, nor would I expect it to be in a Descent expansion. Maybe they'll do something similar for the next RB expansion to compensate, who knows?

I'm not so sure they will do that though, as it does destroy the purpose of offering her as a limited time bonus with SoB. I think a much more likely scenario will be, as I said above, that they'd include Nara with her RB card in the next big RB expansion (probably only on the first print run, as with SoB.)

You know, if Fantasy Flight were really clever, they could include a card for Runewars, too. That might help tease people into buying another one of their games. I'm not expecting it, but it would be pretty cool.

Indeed. The question of promo hero cards for Runewars is going to be a whole other can of worms, I suspect. One more reason to just cut out the promo nonsense and make all game components retail, which would be my personal preference.

Sounds good to me. Perhaps with three different games which can all use the same heroes, Fantasy Flight will be able to make money selling character expansions.

Got my figs in the mail today!

Did i miss these minis? i can't seem to find them in the online store. I was working alot in the last couple of weeks so i was too busy to order them

It looks that way -- I don't see them in the store, either.

Maybe they were removed along with the end of Fantasy Flight's yearly sale? If so, I'd guess that they'll reappear at some point.

Yea, I think they were just up for the Holiday sale.

That's really too bad , they looked extremely nice and would have been a great addition to my collection.

I bought the three promo figures for my Descent game (and will hopefully get Nara the Fang as well when I purchase Sea of Blood.) If anyone wants to buy the Runebounds cards (without figures) off of me, send me a PM with an offer....
