The Daughters of Nemesis

The Daughters of Nemesis
"In 772.M41 the last Blighted Schola was shut down by an Inquistional tribunal for crimes they actually committed. These women promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Calixis Sector underground. Today, still wanted by the Imperium, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Daughters of Nemesis."

Formed from a bloody course of heretical thought and combat arts at the last of the Blighted Schola, the Daughters of Nemesis are cruel parodies of the Adepta Sororitas. Never beholden to the strictures of the Ecclesiarchy, the Daughters are free to undertake missions against even the most trusted of Imperial agents. They only ask their mission be one of merciless destruction in the name of the Emperor. They are not easily duped, but the in the rare case they are sent against innocent targets, their vengeance is swift and fatal.

They are lead by the proud HannaBelle Smith, a brilliant strategist. Her immediate staff includes "Temple" Peck, "Her Majesty" Murdock and Beatrice Ann Baracus. They have at their command a platoon of female mercenaries.

What It Provides: The Daughters will raid settlements, shipping lanes or criminal strongholds. Their favored targets are individual heretics whom they can toy with for a time before delivering the Emperor's wrath.
Prerequisites: Peer (Underworld) or Common Lore (Underworld)
Resource Test Modifiers: Base Modifier +0, Forbidden Lore (Underworld) +10
Price/Cost: The Daughters accept donations to orphanages, weapons and armor or lots and lots of thrones.

Rumor has it a diverted shipment of shoes was enough to buy their bloody loyalty for a month once. To play one, choose Blighted Schola and the Guardsman career. They are always female, and never employed by Puritan Inquisitors. A few elite Daughters wear refitted Sororitas power armor and wield bolters.

Ya know, if this were any game other than Warhammer 40K role-play, I might find such a post silly and annoying. But given GW's long history of blatant and unapologetic ripping-off of everyone else's ideas, well ... I can't help but find it priceless. gran_risa.gif ... and hilarious! partido_risa.gif partido_risa.gif [sides hurt] partido_risa.gif aplauso.gif

Actually, the A-Team reference was a last minute goofy idea on my part. Take that out, and I think you have a usable idea in this. Once Radical's Handbook gets into more hands, I hope to see more Resources, perhaps some that aren't so... odd.

Actually, it's a usable idea either way. Please excuse me if I gave the impression I thought otherwise. I just found the whole idea so profoundly amusing that I couldn't help but poke a little fun. Even with the A-Team reference, you couldn't find a person who knows much about 40K to fault you for it. Granted, according to some, there is little place for comic-relief in WH40K, but my take on it is, in the grim dark future, acolytes should take whatever relief they can get, whenever they can get it. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I found the Resources in Radical's Handbook. They are groups you can hire (Mercenaries, Ork Mobs, Dark Eldar Kabals, Aliens, Assassins, Bored Explorators and the like).

You pay them for jobs, they do them and are thereafter available to take as contacts. Associating with them might get you in some trouble. I suspect there will be more in Ascension, but I'm happy to create my own to compliment those in the book.
